Thanks.

those are the Racecraft 2" drop spindles. I am using Wilwood Dynalite drag brakes.
Racecraft sells their drop spindles to work with factory brakes as well. Looking back on it, I kinda wish I would have just bought those because I have a brand new set of factory 5lug rotors and could have saved myself $500 for the brakes.

Here's my 15.5:1 AutoTec pistons... (former owner of JE opened up RaceTec/AutoTec. chose the Autotec since I am running n/a and have an aluminum block

and this is the type of trans I bought... Jerico DR4

and my heads... TFS CNC 235's with some custom porting done to them on top of the CNC so far 362ex @ .650 lift and 267ex @ .650 lift - still working on them and should be around 368 @ .750 and 270 @ .750 when we are done with them

So I got the trans home and cleared out all the wiring from under the hood... Next up, 25.5 cage and a total rewire of the car..

Can't wait to get the LS2 in there and row some gears....

Should have some more updates next week, it's amazing how much time is taken up with my newborn son and work.
not that I am complaining, I wouldn't trade time with my son

So, I started cutting some bars out to update it to a 25.5 and discovered how shitty the cage really was.... so it went from this:

to this....

so much for having a car with a decent cage, but it will be brand new and safe now...

[QUOTE=Qwiknotch;8224749]1990 LX Hatchback....

It has a 9inch, narrowed 2inches, 15x10 rims, 275/60 drag radials to fit, but I will run the car in 27/11.5 Hoosier Quick Time Pros
stock fenderwells, stock suspension. stock lowers with adjustable uppers, custom traction bars.

Front suspension will be an AJE complete front end with 2in. drop spindles
custom 2in. headers with 4 in. exhaust.

engine is a 402 inch LS2, Lunati crank and rods, 12:1 compression, custom roller cam, Super Victor intake, MSD coil packs (or I might buy the front timing cover with the Ford distributor kit) I have Dart heads right now, but I might switch to ET heads. Custom Steve Johnson nitrous plate system.

With 10:1, regular victor jr manifold, it made 580hp n/a and 800hp on a 200shot. upgrading to more compression, better cam, manifold and more nitrous.

Looking to run high 8's to low 9's... Future plans, I will drop the compression and stick an f2 with a blow thru on it. Gotta get it running first.

Here are some pics....

PICS DELETED TO SAVE SPACE. Sorry.

If you run the distributor conversion make sure to use a bright blue Ford Racing cap and dont tell no one what the engine is and see how many people look under your hood with confused looks on their faces.

I have the 6010 and coil packs for now. It will be on the dyno in the next month and if it starts to falter above 7500, then the distributor kit will be going on it. If that happens, we are going to modify my SVO valve covers from my old 302 to fit the LS heads... It should be quite fun to mess with their heads. Visually, it will look like a Ford, except for the distributor being offset a bit, but to the normal person, they will have no idea.

I don't have the sheet in front of me, but I believe it has
it has a 912 pin, 1.12 something compression height, or it may be a 1.2 something.. the dome is a 13cc dome. they cost a little less than JE, but it's the same original owner of JE and he opened RaceTec/AutoTec. We had the RaceTec on order and when they found out it was an aluminum block, they said to put AutoTec's in it..

I will check the sheet out when I head over to the shop and get you all the specs...

With the 4" stroke, 60cc chamber heads, it wil end up around 15.7:1 with the .053 head gaskets..

Hopefully it will run good... I talked to Eric Koenig a bit and he seems to think it will make around 750-800hp. The car is only going to be 2700lb with me in it..

hoping for 8.80's at that weight.

The hood I have came off a tube chassis car and the frame of the hood extends to the windshield, so I need to cut all of that away. There will be more gone once I finish it.

track only. I haven't street raced in about 7 years. I'll grudge race on the track, though ...

I guess the AJE K-member fit pretty well? I'm thinking about doing a 5.3 swap into a coupe bc it seems like to much fun. .

If I can pick your brain a lil, i'm trying to figure out the best/cheapest route to go for the steering rack. Is it easier to just do the pinto rack like you and go manual? Or go for power steering?
