Well finally finished up the car yesterday..I'm really happy with how everything turned out. I'm really happy with the ARC panel and relay board. Make things really simple. I cut about a foot off from the head lights and off the tail lights and rewired everything. Lights, fuel pump, fans, new nitrous kit and purge, ignition and gauges. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting, just really time consuming. Here's a few pics of everything finished:

Still need to get a rear seat delete done. I'm really anxious to get the car dialed in and back to the track with the new kit and converter...

Well been a while since I've had an update. The car is currently tore back apart for some more upgrades. Came across a deal I couldn't pass up on a motor, here's the specs:

12.5 compression
AFR 225s flow 326 @ .600
Cometics head gaskets
Comp Pro magnum rockers
Crane dual valve springs
Chromoly Pushrods
Hydraulic roller camshaft 248 254, 615 625 110 @ .050
Crane double roller timing set
Diamond Nitrous pistons
eagle 4340 rods
eagle 4340 crank
1/2" ARP head studs

So old long block has came out and new motor is sitting in the car. Plan to get it finished up this week hopefully. Will also be added an electric water pump and low mount alt. setup.

Looking to go some high 8's with this motor on a good shot. Motor went 9.4's on a 150hp in a 400lb heavier car. So my goals should be reachable. Will probably need to invest in a better converter, some travel limiters and a progressive n2o controller. Will get some pics of the new set up when I get it finished up..

just read the entire thread, great swap. I didn't see you post it, but is it a stock driveshaft or a custom one?

Thanks, No not a stock drive shaft. Had one made at a local drive train shop. One end the the TH400 yoke and the other with the ford 8.8 end.

Thanks..Never really got any solid n2o passes out of it with the old setup. But will be getting plenty with the new motor. No real advice other than just take your time, if you have any questions feel free to ask...

kevin, what CI is the new motor? you did not state that in the post for new engine. you will like the alt being on the bottom out of the way. I love mine.

I was hoping to see some good #'s on the spray out of the old motor. Did you not ever get a clean pass out of it?

Sorry I thought I put the CI, but its a 408. I think the alternator looks way better down low. Don't care for the bmr bracket to much but it works.

Never really got a clean pass on the n2o with the old motor, or got to really push it and see where it would go. Best pass on a 125hp was 6.2 can't remember the mph off the top of my head.

Dam a 408 should roll the f out in that car. With the spray it will be nuts.

I'm going to the track tonight to get a new pb. I'm hoping for 10.0's or a 9.90.

I got a few changes going on next year. A new cam, a lil more for the n2o and it is a solid roller. Then the edlebrock plate kit with a nano bottle and progressive controller.

Yeah 8's shouldn't be a problem with the new motor, but won't see the full potential right away, gonna have to invest in a better converter, need some travel limiters to try and keep it off the bumper and a good n2o controller..

Sounds like a plan for your car..I don't see some 9.9's being out of reach with your car as it sits, as long as the track and weather conditions are in your favor..
