Video coming soon, taking it to get the exhaust today..You wouldn't be able to even hear it right now I don't think. I'm pretty sure it would distort the sound on the camera..

Well I played with the pro data software this weekend and created my own timing table and such..The car feels extremely strong. Although I little hard to tell on the street. Couldn't get to my "test spot" today. So will have to see about doing that this week before the track. But did drive the car around for probably 45mins to a hour, never got above 180* expect when I stopped to take a couple pics..over all I'm very pleased with the car so far, lets see how it does Friday night..I'll leave with a couple pics..

Thanks..

Well I got the car aligned and scaled today. Ended up weighing at 2852lbs with me in it. It weighed 2815lbs without me before the tear down and swap, took quiet abit of weight out but did add the cage. So the car weighs around, 2677lbs without me now..equals to around 140lbs less.

So she's ready for the track now, but seems mother nature has other plans, as raining for the next 5 days...

Lol took out anything and everything not needed..No heater box, no air ducting behind the dash, no bumper supports front or rear, matting off the back of the carpet, believe it or not was around 10lbs alone, And if you haven't already on your 8.8 rear there is a piece of metal that looks as it would be a form of bracing held on with two bolts on the pinion side, that's probably another 7-10lbs, so if any of you have it still get rid of it..doesn't serve a purpose other than added weight..It still has all the interior panels, acutally everything but the seats is there, with a Kirky seat for me..I'm happy its that light..

Hopefully this winter it can loose a little more weight this winter with some tubular a-arms and coilovers. Oh and I do have a 6.0 iron block..

Actually, that piece of metal near the front of the pinion is a dampener. If you have solid uppers and lowers and a spool, it does serve no purpose. If you have stock uppers and lowers and a regular posi, leave it on.

The front support doesn't really weigh that much..But that back one is steel and is pretty heavy. My car is also a manual windows and locks car. Its also a 87' which I have been told be some people that, that was one of the lighter years, whether that's true or not I'm not sure..

Yes it is a dampener, that's actually the word I was looking for earlier but couldn't think of it..ha. but nothing stock here in the rear, built rear end with upper, lowers and anti-roll bar..

Well I ended up getting it to the track after all on friday, although I would have been better bring ice skates instead of et streets..Out of 5 passes I only made 2 decent passes. Best 60' foot all night was a 1.60, which the car should be capable of 1.4-1.5 all day, but the track just wasn't allowing it. The other 3 runs were a peddle fest, as stated earlier the track just wouldn't hold the car..Best run of the night ended up being a 11.002@124, 60' beam didn't work this pass.. Car should easily go 10.70-10.80's with a better track and weather conditions, humidity was at 85%, also I didn't even do any tuning on the car at the track, ie no carb adjustment or timing. Only dropped tire pressure a little.

Overall I am very pleased with the car. Once I get it dialed in on the motor it will be time to throw a little bottle at it. Should go 9's no problem.

Only thing I think I'm going to need to change is gearing, I think I'm going to need to back down to a 3.73 from the 4.10, the 4.10's are going to be too much once I spray it..

These cars really seem to not like as much gear as one would expect , Maybe because they are so light? My car with 3.27 and a 27" tire goes through the traps above 6 g on my 135+ mph passes.
