Default AC Bracket source?

I'm doing a LS1 swap into my 91 firebird. I ordered the ac bracket from Fbodymotorsports.com... which is now YoungsFbody.com.... whatever. I want to keep my stock compressor since the R12 is still fully charged and worked great.

http://www.fbodymotorsports.com/inc/sdetail/12165

Its been 4 weeks, and they aren't sure when I'll get it. They say that they are having a problem getting it from their supplier. Anyone know who makes it? Or an alternate source for one?

I found this searching around, but it uses the 4th gen compressor.....

http://www.superchevy.com/technical/...de/index1.html

You'll have to scroll about 3/4's of the way down the page to see the bracket.

Just getting frustrated in general. Nothing I order is showing up in the same order that I purchased them.... I kinda planned it that way! LOL

Oh well, it'll get done eventually I imagine

thanks

Jason,,
You may want to try 'Street & Performace'. I got some brackets for my Saden compressor from them.

good luck...

They have a nice setup, but I want to use the small, stock compressor that the 91 came from.

I think I'm going to be delaying this project for awhile.....

thanks

I believe its $700 for the Street and Performance one now that is ridiculous.

The ridiculous price for AC bracketry is a good part of the reason I still don't have mine set up. The stock F-Body location fits my truck, but only barely so, and I would rather have it up high if it could be done cheaply and simply - it would make the lines much easier to run.

I think the $700 S&P price includes the Sanden compressor.

Well they are all pricey, but all use the stock LS1 compressor, which I am not doing.

Kinda makes the $300 bracket I purchased from Fbodymotorsports a good deal! LOL

Just wish it wouldn't take months to get the part

thanks for all the replies
