Let the FUN BEGIN! Car returned home from the paint shop. I couldn't be happier with the paint color I went with. Below is my center air vent conversion to a cup holder.

Rocky... that color looks horrible on the car. I'll do you a favor and take it off your hands. J/K
Honestly that looks as awesome as I hoped when you showed the sample. It gives the car a bit of a modern look without getting cheap and loosing it's classic lines or history. Somehow I didn't notice the color was a metallic on the original shots - way cool!

Thanks FGWC much appreciated.
I have sucessfully installed the door handles, locks, A-piler chrome , Mirror, antenna, rear tail pan & tail lights with out a scratch. Wish me luck I got a ways to go. The tail light lens are new repos that have just now become available.
A few cool interior parts have also arrived. The new kick panels with built in speakers look pretty nice. No respectable hot rod would be complete without a good set of tunes.

Thanks Mike.
I made some progress over the weekend.
Installed the sound deadening material and layed the carpet on the floor still need to trim it. Started fab work on the glove box that houses the head unit for the stereo. Cut the back deck to install the (2) 6 x 9 speakers.
My Great friend Darren hooked me up with a new set of shoes. He even helped me install the bumber and aligned my hood for me. I owe you man. What a difference it made in the looks. This first is a comparsion of the old vs new.

I'd like to thank Scott Parkhurst for helping me out with the mesh headlight grills. I saw his after watching the street chalenge. It put the finishing touches on the ram air intakes up front.

I just jumped over here from your PT link.
I love it!
My vote is against the 18/20 style. In fact, I like the Iroc wheels. Put some quality rubber on those!
If not, I like a square set up personally. Same diameter and on width all 4.

I plan on a square setup in the future when I wear out these cheap tires I bought. I think I can run 255/50/16 on all 4 corners. I am seriously considering going with TTII grey center wheels with 5 inch bs and building a set of custom center caps for them.

Here are just a few more little things completed and removed from the list.
Stereo located in fabbed glove box. I even have room left for legal papers etc...
New Alpines and kenwood amp hung under deck. Speakers will be completely hidden with a smooth black grill cover panel layed over them. The stereo equipment in the trunk is all but invisable when looking in it. I am not sure if I need to port the 6x9's using the entire trunk or adding a smaller ported box or boxes around them. I will determine once the rear seat is installed.
Carpet layed and trimmed. very quality product I recieved from Opgi. Fit perfect with minimal trimming required. kick panels with speakers in place.

The kick panels were off the shelf. Many places to buy them with or without speakers. What I have found out is you have to move your parking brake handle over and run it at a an angle to avoid the new speaker sticking out. I'm going to have to build some kind of spacer bracket to move it over and re attach to the dash.. Haven't done it yet. You will also loose the use of your vent unless you cut slots in the new panels. I am undecided. Because if you cut the vents you will degrade the sound of the speaker by letting the back wave cancel the front. I might try to cut vent holes and figure out some how to isolate the speaker rear. For now I have no vent.

Hey Rocky,
The car is looking good. The color is right on, although I would have never thought of it. Btw, do you have problems with the front tires hitting the inside of the fender arch when turning and hitting a bump at the same time? I'm using GTA 16x8 wheels and I keep wiping out the chrome fender arch on my Vista Cruiser.

My wheels are the same as yours as far as backspacing is concerned. I'm running 245-50's in the front. I thought about switching end for end as you suggested, but I already have to be real careful turning because the inside of the tire hits the a-arm on the back side. Maybe some $900 tubular a-arms will cure my problem.
