Thanks much.

I have decided to go a different direction on the wheels. I'm going with the new rev classic 100 17x8 wheels with 255/45/17's on all for corners. I am also going to do my on custom center caps with either with the words "LS1-F85" or maybe with the rocket olds logo like I have on the engine covers I made. I have also gone with the SC&C suspension upgrade. It is suppose to handle better than the car that the current 1roc wheels came off of. We shall see.

Futher progress. We are getting real close now to being done first round anyhow. The exterior is now 100%complete (minus new wheels, tires and high perrformance undercarriage which is due in this week. The rest of the interior is also suppose to arrive this week. I hope to get the suspension and steering upgrades done next week if all the parts arrive on schedule.

The old door panel water boards made a great pattern for the new sound deadening mats.

The mods I made to the oem a/c duct work really paid off. The air flow is way better than before. My new multi axes under dash air vent ( nick name "FLOWMO" )will put air just about any angle you want it. It even folds up when not in use.

Rocky,

Where are you located in Texas, I would love to see this in person some day. I am in the southern DFW area. Great project! I had a 68 Cutlass as my first car and still love the Oldsmobile cars.

Thanks all.

Clyde we live real close I also live south of dfw. I love your truck I use to have a 65 just like it except mine was blue. I love that body style. We may have to start our on 65 ls conversion club and do a few Sunday cruises around the area.

I got a center cap in the mail today for my new wheels. I can now use it to start the cad work on my new custom caps I'm going to build. Anyone that has American wheels and are interested in a flat one off wheel cap shoot me a pm. I can get them done fairly cheap sense I am going to be cutting a set for my self anyway.

Well it was christmas in July at my house today. All the goodies arrived in a brown and yellow slay. The wheels look like they were almost color matched to the car. I could not be more pleased.

The wheels are on and I could not be happier with the final look of the car. The stance will be a bit different when the new SC&C suspension is installed but not much.

Thanks Jeff & Kim from JD wheels
Thanks Marc from SC&C

Me lives in the country too low means no go on dirt road. I hear you though. The sc&c kit will drop the back 1.5 inches and the front can go as low as 2inches from stock. I am already on 2 inch drop spindles and netted about 1.5 as sets with the ls1. The front tires are already going to rub most likely and I will have to tub the inner fenders on the outboard side to clear in bump situations.
