You have to buy a programmable setup, nothing ever stays stock.

Is it possible to reprogram the ECM with HPT as HPT supports the E67 ECM?

Complete kit with ECM, harness throttle pedal from Speartech $1695
Same kit from GMPP $815
The difference in price is quite big between the two kits.

I wonder if it is the MEFI 5/Marine stuff that they are using. I guess those are the same as an E67 also, but I don't know if it is actually stamped E67.

Yeah the case says e67 and the J1 J2, and J3 connectors are all there. I don't see why the connections would be different unless they re-pinned it for some crazy reason. I compared it to this picture of a regular e67. I found on the web one and it look identical.

Mine

I'll swing it by a shop that tunes LSx stuff and see what they say....

my guess would be a E67 with custom seed/key or custom OS. (both can be worked around )

like wait4me said in the pcm form, send it to him and that would be the best method to determine support possibilities.

Do you know if this kit controls a 4L60E automatic as well or do you need GM's special controller kit?

You will need another controller kit for an automatic.

Did this harness include wiring for cruise control?

I bet it can be added easily. Just need to find what pin on the ECU is for the cruise. The rest is already there. VSS + drive by wire = easy cruise control.

Not if it is not even in the programming.
Some of the cruise control systems on the LS2 engines is 1 wire that picks up different resistances from the C/C stem. Not 4 or 5 wires like it used to be.

Is there any way to get the install instructions for this harness? From what I understand there are some specific guidelines for installing the MAF. Anyone know the details? I am also curious as to what kind of VSS signal is needed by this ECU.

I'll scan them tonight and post them up... I'm a few weeks from firing the car up so I'll know something about the tuning pretty soon. Anyone want to place any bets if I can tune it???

There is another thread going regarding the tunebility of these ECUs. Its been suggested that you will need to use a Tech II to assign a VIN to the ECU, then HP Tuners or EFI Live can access it. All of this is hearsay at this point. The scanned instructions would be awesome. GM Performance should offer them for download on the website.

this ecm is similar to one used on engines with the 6L80E, 6L90E transmissions. They control Engine Only, NO trans. These transmissions have the TCM (trans control module) built onto the valve body assembly inside the trans. It requires only a few signals from ECM and the TCM is programmed for shift points, lock-up, etc.

Here you go. I've got Spanish and French also or in .doc files, but they're too big to attach....
