Another harness option....

There are a ton of reasonably priced options for an LS1 harness. It makes ZERO sense to start converting your LS1 24 tooth crank to 58 tooth just to use these harnesses. LS1s use cable throttle bodies, knock sensors are in the lifter valley on LS1s, lots of issues.

My motor didnt come with a harness or a throttle body or a computer. The other options I am looking at, I have to buy a computer, a harness and then pay more money to get them worked on.

So today we finally got the car on the dyno and YES the ECM is tunable. We assigned the ECM a VIN for a 2006 CTS-V using the GM Tech Tool and then tuned it just like you would tune any other LS car with HP Tuners. This is great news for those looking for a factory style harness for the new LS2/3/7 motors...

I never thought the ECM was locked, I know it is an E67 unit which can be flashed to another program. The question, now answered, was whether or not the file that comes in the ECM from the factory could be tuned or not.
Glad to hear they got you all tuned up.

Runs awsome. I have just a bit over 1K miles now with no major problems. Took it to the local 1/8 mile again after tuning and changing the rear gears to 3:73's and ran some 7.80's @95mph on regular street tires....

Most likely not.
For that, you would need an older style LS1 ECU that will work with a cable TB, and use the LPE Conversion module to make the older ECU work with the 58x LS7.
