I installed an LS1 In a 65 Vette with an 4L60E running 3:08 gears. Stayed with the factory fuel system. Rock Valley built fuel tank with pump.
I love it, 23 -25 MPG. Always will be partial to the Big Block, but am hsappy with the new set up.
Post some pictures when you get it finished.

Thumbs up Alright new injectors on the way

Alright I just bought some injectors from someone on the forums, so hopefully they will work.

I think mine are just too gunked up. I got one to free up and start clicking but then it got stuck open and wouldn't stop leaking fuel, so probably flooded that cylinder out now, I had to relieve pressure in the rails to get it to stop.

So now I will just put these new or newer ones on and see what happens

Talking It Runs!!!!!it Runs!!!!

WHOOO!!!!!!

Yeah, it was definitely those injectors, put those new/used ones I got and she fired right up

Oh yeah and vids will be posted either this evening or tomorrow morning, depending how work treats me tonight.

And she runs, now to fix the header leaks, so far thats all that seems to be leaking

Thanks for all who helped me through this

Oh yeah, the tach seems to read really low also, but it doesn't sound like the motor is running at such low RPM's, I think it was at like 300 on the tach

Thumbs down One more problem before driving

Can't turn left

This is as far left as I can go:

Open to any and all opinions on how to make this work. I did run headers when I had the old SB 350 so there must be a way to make them work

That sucks 4 sure. The easiest-least expensive solution I see would be to take the header off and cut the one pipe and have a new peice spliced in or cut & bend it out of the way and rewelded.

I'd definately fix the frame rot at your motor mount prior to driving too! A couple of good WOT's and your frame is separated!

Alright I guess the vids I promised are on hold.

I pulled the headers off and am going to tow the car down to the exhaust shop to get the header work done right, so I guess you could say they are now going to turn into custom headers...

Stay strong, you are making some great progress. I was eyeballin' the room under my hood of the Merc, and it looks very swap friendly though I'm not sure if 4L80E will fit where my TH350 resides.

Oh you can make it work. I had a built 350/350 setup before this swap. The 4L60E was a bit tighter fit, but with a few mods here and there it'll fit.

Can't wait to get this one the road again though, hopefully after tomorrow with the header work and just a few minor things she'll be road ready again
