that trans am motor is fine. i buy these all the time and there is nothing wrong with that motor. a 01 with 45k miles and a T56 will not sell for $3000. you will probably get it for $4500?ish but usually you have to pay lot fee's and a buyer fee on top of that.

I ended up getting a pullout from a GTO instead. But I am having a few issues with a couple damaged parts. Mainly the intake and ecu.

i have had 1 intake broke from the back side like yours. it was from a nasty front end hit and the brake booster nipple hit the firewall causing a piece to brake out of the intake. BTW, where was that car located? have not seen it on any of the places i buy from.

The car that I was going to buy for the engine was from salvage direct dot com. THe auction ended last week and i think the car sold for almost 5k.

You can fix it, especially worth it if its an LS6 intake. I fixed mine some time ago:
