I haven't talked with him in a while myself.

Thanks,

I can't wait to drive it. This car has not been on the road since 1985. Started the swap in 2004. I will post up some videos up on youtube later when it's on the road or a dyno tune. I will tune most of it myself with hptuners software/wideband then dyno it.

Wink

You need to ditch the dinky air filter. Lots of street ordders run them and think they are cool but really reduce the amount of cool air coming into the engine. It may have maybe 30 sq inches of filter area and is sucking hot air directly from the radiator. Even a stock 53L truck has over 120 sq inches of filter area. Fab up a cold air kit to get air from beside the radiator or preferrably a scoop from below the radiator from the grill area. You will see how hot the inlet air temps are once you datalog the car with Hp Tuners. Hot air will severely retard the timing and add bunches of excess fuel hurting performance.

Thanks, Novaman & Thomos.

I just installed that little airfilter just to get it running. I had planed on fabing up an air intake tube for cold air, read the same thing you both have explained.

Thanks for the input and hope there is some more coming or any suggestions!
