Thanks. I do not have Heat or A/C in the car. I am not sure if I will either since the weather is mild but sometimes hot.

Still alot of work buy someday
Great job on your car, I was there and now I am going to car shows and having a blast with my 69 Chevelle. I plan on building another one someday and seeing your car makes me want to start sooner. Again great job and I can really appreciate the work you have done. Doing a frame off, ground up is the most rewarding work and will give you satifaction that no car in the world will that you write a check for. I laugh at those guys that pull up in there 100K cars and when asked a question they say "I dont know but the builder's name is ___." Those guys have no clue what building a car is really about. Please post more when you have it.
Thanks,
Jeff
Thanks,
Jeff
Here is a few more pictures and details. I am using a TKO600 5 Speed with Currie 9"
Body was media blasted and is slowly being worked on.
I used UPOL Raptor bed liner under the car. It was real easy to use and laid down pretty good.
Still alot of work to do and very little free time with work and Family but someday should make for a fun car to play with.
Thanks,
Tom

Awesome build thread. I love how you went with the primer. No need to be overly cautious about scratching something. How did you get the primer in this color? Did you block sand and do a sealer before the primer?

Update trans tunnel
I did find this from and article that was spot on, moving the the engine 1.25 inch fwd
1968 Olds Ls3 and Trans conversion
Not sure how much lower the pan is on a 4L80E than a 4L60E. But on this 1968 Chevelle that I'm installing an LS3/4L60E, the trans pan is just slightly below the frame. I used the Holley 302-2 oil pan that is only 1.25 in deep at the front, Energy Suspension LS mounts that move the bellhousing 1.25 in forward of stock. Also used the stock short and wide frame mounts. This is the only way to not have to modify the trans tunnel, and to have the correct driveline angles. Plus the inner tie rods clear the pan on full steering lock.

[QUOTE=U123409;19333764]Well Pal I checked out the links you sent, Thank you but the articles cover 'F' body with a manual trans and the GTO's A bodies with manuals and great pics but after the the car was finished and not a lot of substance.

Any ls swap with an auto would be helpful.
https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...m-preview.html
Holley has headers mounts oil pans and cross members and they have tried all the auto trans available even 6l80s.
