Shawn,

What Hookers did you end up with? Could you measure them across the widest point? A bud's '67 Camaro has 28.5" between the frame rails, my Maverick has only 26". I'm looking for some 1 3/4" or 1 7/8" tubes that will fit....

Thanks!

Russ

I actually already ordered them, then canceled the order because i am thinking a TT setup would be much nicer. Sorry

shawn- update on that 6010 box- got it and it worked a treat, very easy to set up. i ended up with something like 15deg timing initial, to about 29-30 deg from 3000-6400rpm. no pinking or problems at all. wished i had gone for that msd box first time round, fired up first go. car made 412bhp@ hubs and 390ft/lb today! :-)

Wow! Those are great numbers chris! And those are factory heads with a small cam correct? Waht type of exhaust setup are you running? 412rwhp is ALOT man. Especially when your car only weighs 1800lbs haha. Glad to hear the MSD box worked for you!

yes its factory heads and bottom end, and a small cam. i have a set of full race headers and 3" exhausts on, plus its lost all the accessories etc and is dry sumped. the msd box seems to be good value for money, it even came with the serial lead and a wiring loom. i used the vac/map sensor i already had to sort out the timing at idle/part throttle.
cheers

its running an alternator and water pump driven by a 6 rib belt off the crank pulley. the dry sump scavenge has its own small drive belt also off that. i run stock ls1 tensioners for the drive belt. seems to work ok so far.

My build right here..

https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversions-swaps/823536-yup-another-mustang-ls2-drag-car.html

90LX, LS2, TH350 - should weigh 2850 with me in it. I have to put 350lbs in it for the class I am running. I really want to put a stick in it, but my finances say otherwise.

I weighed in at 1700 lbs with about 4 gallons of fuel and no driver on my Lotus 7 replica.

I've done some major frame mods this year, some of which add weight (SCCA roll bar), a number of others that reduce weight, and major shifting of weight towards the rear (moved engine, tranny, driver, passenger, and roll structure 4" back, moved battery to the rear, etc... Crossing fingers for 1600, but don't know if I'll get there.

1700 is insane. The LS1 and T56 alone are like 700lb Wow.

and mine is on the heavy side. I think 1500 is possible. There are bike engined sevens (Yamaha R1 or Busa engined) running around at <1000 lbs.

In stock form my 48 Chevy Coupe curb weight according to the specs was 3200lbs, replacement of lighter engine, rear suspension and front suspension should put me about 2900-3000lbs. The car is still in progress of being put together. I am hoping between 375-400rwhp with mods done on engine, 3200 stall and 373 gearing with an A4.

I think my car has a factory curb weight of 3440. with the lighter LS1 engine probably has a curb weight of 3300 lbs. It has 3.08 non posi rear. I can't launch hard but with a slight roll out it hooks fairly good. I'm not sure how quick the 1/4 times will be but it went 0 to 80 in about 9 seconds on it's day view run.
