true,
i chopped the flanges off a set of summit mustang lt headers and welded on gm ls1 flanges, for swap friends foxbody car. worked like a charm,
exhaust port spacing is near identical for ls1 and windsor 5.0 motor


oh, and i dream of LSx power GTM

My neighbor has a heads/cam 5.0 version and his car is really nice. Its a nice car in general but I dont know I cant justify the cost (and its one of the relativly cheap kit cars out there)

I want to build a lightweight convertible ls1 powered sports car one day.. Honestly a miata fits those criteria the best.. but its a miata and these kits cars are WAY cooler. I hope your ready to get lots of thumbs up.

From the few miata's I've seen around town here and on this forum it's a pretty cool swap and is damn fun to drive. As far as it being a miata, eh big deal. If it's what you want and you're happy with it who cares what kind of car it is/was or what someone else might think...

Wiring is full steam ahead. Got the cooling hoses routed. Induction is on the car. Got the engine harness routed and everything plugged in. Still have to take care of getting the signal wires to the gauges, running the battery cables, etc.., lots of little stuff to take care of before I start it. PCM is on the way so as soon as it gets in and mounted I can finish the dash harness. Shooting for right after the new year to start it up..

First start time. woohoo..

Started to get a little burned out until today. Awesome feeling.

Had to cut the video down cause it was about 15 minutes long but you get the idea. Next is to get the exhaust done, get the driveshaft lengthened, and it's go-kart time.

And yes I'm running back and forth frantically making sure oil pressure came up..

First off, nice build! Car looks great. You going to keep those radiator hoses? I personally don't like them. Flow is terrible through them. JMHO. I would have thought with all the other nice work that a pair of nice polished stainless hard lines would have been in order. Everyhing else is kick ***!

I'd never though that I'd see a BMW coolant expansion tank in an LS1 powered FFR Roadster. Just make sure that top line is on the nipple all the way, it doesn't look it in the pic. Everything looks sweet! It's gonna be a beast.

No ****, that came out of a BMW? I just used the expansion tank that came with the kit. That's hilarious.

The radiator hoses again came with the car so I made them work. I'm pretty sure that and some other things will get changed out when the car gets on the road. This is gonna be a constant work in progress project.

Ya that's my brother in the video. He actually came over, woke me up, and said let's fire this damn thing..
