Weight should be around 2800-3000lbs Im thinking with the turbo setup. Just finished most of the downpipe. All I have to do is put a V-band at the end of the downpipe you see and then a 90* elbow facing down then a 45* elbow facing out a hole at the bottom of the fender where it will exit out. Ill ceramic coat all the exhaust and wrap the downpipe where it goes over the valve cover to give my coils and paint on the stock hood a chance to live. The muffler I had wouldnt fit so it will be wide open. I have been re-assured it wont be that much louder than with the muffler though but wont be as quiet as my daily either LOL.

i have a lq4 with a s400 and a 5inch downpipe with no muffler and it isnt all that loud......quieter than my 98 t/a with 3in xpipe and one chamber flowmasters.........its really really deep tone and sounds prettty good....
i used to have a 240z just like that with a narrowed 9in and ls1....never finished it....wish i had....your caar is sweet and should run great...
is there a way to get megasquirt to run the ls ignition now with the factory reluctor wheel??????

Thanks guys, sorry I just saw these posts.
Yeah I can run the megasquirt with the factory coils but my way of thinking at this point is that I already know the MSD is working and can control them so Im going to leave the ignition alone since Im sure Ill be chasing gremlins around with the fueling side of megasquirt. If I have any issues Ill be able to rule the ignition side out automatically and know to look in the fuel tables. Later on after its running good I can work on hooking the ignition up and run it all with the MS.

OK well the turbo is now 97% done. Hotside is good to go and Tim at Topline coatings did a great job on the ceramic work. I noticed in the pics when I was uploading them I already scratched the exhaust tip grrrr. Damn thing slipped and the fender must have scratched it. Owell, it was going to happen. All I have to do is drop the oil pan and put in a -10 fitting for the return and while Im in there replace the rod bolts with some ARP bolts to help give this thing a chance at living. Then build the intake tube from the turbo to the throttle body and also a fresh air tube from the turbo to the inner fender to help get fresh air to the turbo.
Tim and I talked last night about some coating options for the intake, elbow, intake tube and possibly the compressor housing. I dont want black or orange and the shiny stuff is a little too bling for me plus I was told its a little higher maintnance. I think I decided on anthrecite. Almost a black chrome/charcoal look. Also think I decided to get my drag lites coated. I wont give out the choice I went with but Im sure it will look kick ***. Anyway, still have to collect all those parts and then get them to him.

I am new to this forum but I like very much your approach to the rear suspension solution for your ride. I have a 1978 280Z in the works with a Supra Twin Turbo power plant and a TH400 and I am planning to install a Ford 8.8 and a 4 link suspension out back. I was wondering if you would not mind sharing the specs on the rear set up. Length of the rear end from flange to flange, wheel and tire specs as well as any additional suspension tips you may have. Any idea on the coil over springs rating? My car will be driven in the street and a few trips to the track every month. Your project looks great. Keep up the good work. Thanks in advance for your help.
