Default Project: Insanity

I am just about finished with my new build with my syclone. Here it is in a nut shell:

1991 GMC Syclone
Ditched the 4.3 for a LQ4
Swapped out the 700R4 for a built 4L80E
S400 turbo
W2A
Still AWD

Here is a short video I made today.

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/S...-08_155815.htm

Finishing up the wiring this week and getting the headers, cross-over, and hot side coated. Also hope to take it over and have the down pipe and exhaust finished up next weekend. I really want to hear this thing fire up within the next couple weeks.

I will keep this thread updated as progress is made.

Will

Currently I run 17x9-1/2's front w/275/40/17's and 17x11's rear w/315/35/17's.

I will be switching to 16x9 rims all around with ET streets here soon for the obvious traction issues I will have.

Using the stock Syclone transfer case (they have gone 8.90's in the 1/4) and yes for the most part the short block is stock. I did use ARP bolts and comp lifters and pushrods though. This is a test bed for the truck for the summer then the built LSX will go in this coming winter

the center diff is a viscous diff, so not running IDENTICAL tirediameters will cook it... fast!

Bad to the Bone is right. It should be one heck of a ride when finished.

I am aware, thanks though. Wheel diameters are within the 3-5% front-to-rear.

What conversion parts did you use to fit a LSx motor with a 4L80e? The TurboTime LSx pan and mounts apparently do not have sufficient trans tunnel clearance with a 4L80e swap. Please let us know...looks like you may be the only one so far to have made this combo fit!

Just Wondering If You Could Help Me Out. I Was Going To Do A Turbo Setup For My 68 C10 Swb And I Had Plans For A W2w Turbo Kit. But I've Been Reading Some Threads And Have Read That They Have Gone Out Of Business. I Was Hoping You Could Give Me Some Info On What All You Did To Get The Turbo Going. W2w Had A Bolt On Kit And I Was Hoping To Do All The Work Myself But Now I'm At A Stand Still. If You Could I'd Reeeeeaaaaalllyyy Appreciate It. And Your Truck Is Awesome!!!!!!
