Not much progress as of lately. Just been collecting parts. Drilled out the rivets from the engine mounts, removed the stock bushing, started removing the paint. It's going to be powder coated with the subframe. Most likely going to be a dark metalic blue. Going to pop in some red Prothane bushings. Hinson stuff should be coming in this week. I requested for them not the paint the subframe and leave it metal. Off to powder coat it goes ![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)

I'm at the same place in my build, but I haven't ordered my subframe yet. How long did it take once your ordered?
Also, I've been looking for urethane Camaro motormounts - is this what you are going to be running?

Yah. WS6 store has a prothane kit that comes with motor mount bushings and tras mount bushing. I think it's like $70 bucks only.
In regards to Hinson, If I were you I'd order it already. It takes at least 2 months. But It's worth the wait for Proven stuff you know you can depend on.

When did you order you Hinson subframe? I ordered mine April 1st...haven't gotten it yet. He keeps telling me 2 weeks. I have my engine all ready to go most of the prep work done, just need to get the subframe in the car and get it on the road.
Your LS2 is beautiful. Part of me wishes I went that direction...but I think I will do well with my 2002 LS1, 243 heads, TR224 cam and long tubes...should put me around the LS2 in power.
What did your research tell you about poly engine mounts? I really didn't like having all poly mounts with the rotary, a little too much vibration. Are the stock LSx mounts really soft? Do they offer harder rubber mounts (kinda like the Mazdaspeed or BMW Group N mounts)? I haven't ridden in an FD with the LS1 let alone one with poly mounts.

I don't have too much experience with poly motor mounts. I just thought I would upgrade while I had the stock mounts just sitting there. They still looked good but looked a bit soft. I played with these poly ones for a while and they seem to flex just fine. I'm assuming with more torque with the v8 the poly mounts should feel perfect compared to a rotary engine with very little torque.
I order my Hinson stuff a long time ago. But I was in line for the LS2 mounting equipment. Once I changed over to the LS1 equipment he built the subframe about 2 weeks later. I still need to source out a FBody pan and a bunch of other crap. I am taking my time with this but at the same time don't want to get lazy. I have a target date of October 12th to complete this project. My Birthday present to myself
