My LS6 T-56 1993 FD RX7 swap with lots of pictures
Hey guys new to the site so i figured i would post up my project. I will hopefully be done with it by this fall.
The car is a 93 mazda rx7 that weighs in at 2879lbs with the ls6 and it is an almost perfect 50/50 weight distrabution.
This alows me to chang the amount of pressure going to the rack.

I just got done relocating some wires, fitting the intake, and moving the koyo radiator lower in the engine bay. The filter for the intake sits in the front bumper on the drivers side just behind the side air vent so it should get plenty of cold air.
Now all i have left to do is custom exhaust, fuel pressure regulator with lines and a walbro 255L fuel pump, finish cleaning up wiring, find some radiator hoses that fit, and a few odds and ends like exhaust hangers and oil.

Update:
The car should be going into the shop in the next few days to get the y pipe made and to take care of some electrical. Hopefully it will be on the road in a few weeks.

LOL! That is a great question since it nickle and dimes you to death. I have every receipt for the swap which fills a 1inch thick 3 ring binder (except for little piddly thing) but i have yet to total them all up as that would take forever. If i were to guess i would say somewhere between $9,500 and $10,500 just in parts and not including the price of the car.
Edit: The price of the conversion was way worth it as there really is not much on the road that can touch me. With out my slicks Ive beat a Ferrari, i stay door to door with a new Z06 and i stay right next to my good friends 408 stroked Z28 all while roasting the tires. The power to weight ratio is amazing in this car. Plus the 3.90 gears help out a lot too.

Im in Springfield. And the "fart can" is to fool people. Although you would be surprised at how many people just think it is a beefy import since it doesnt sound like any v8 ive ever heard and 90% of people dont know what engine the car came with let alone how it is supposed to sound. I dont know how many domestic car owners have pulled up next to me and asked if my little import is "fast" in a sarcastic manner expecting to embarrass me. Even after i blow the doors off of them 99% of them have no idea its a V8. In fact ive only had one guy so far figure it out but he said he knew about the lsx rx7 swaps. Im actually very pleased with the way it sounds.
I will get some video of it posted one of these days so you can get a better idea.
