thanks 726.0 chevelle.... wanst water pump,,, im afraid its other side of lifters too.. from driver side.. i will check them first b4 i pull head... does it when it heats up... i feel it in the throttle body with my hand.. i'll be rechecking it tommorrow,,,

I'm surprised this well known tuner you drove 2 hours to see, didnt turn down the boost.

You can also turn your Rev limit up, 5500 is to low. I dont make max HP til 5700, and I rev my completely stock engine to 6300-6500 rpm.

Also, what year is your 5.3? 2002-2005 4.8/5.3's had head probems. They would crack around the bolt area and allow coolant to seep in. Overtime, the lifters would "gunk up" and start tapping. Having an excessive amount of "pancake batter" under the valvecovers is evidence of this problem.

And buy a spacer for your 6.0 flexplate already! Its only like $30 from a GM dealer!

we had problem with the boost controler. so we just ran what spring were in there,,, its a 2003 bottom end,,with 853 camaro heads,,, and it wanst the trans.. i check that my rigging did hold up! i pulled valve cover off while it was running,,, all valve train looks good,,, now... i think it is spun bearing,, rod knock,, anyway to check that,, check my oil right?...for metal shavings...

ok found problem.. metal shavings in oil filter ,, spun rod bearing.. pulling pan off tomoorrw,, c how bad it is... try to replace it while still in car.. i think i may have a ls6 cam im buying,, still looking for meth.. i will keep yall posted when i install cam and meth + tune..

if you got shavings in the filter you probably got them through the whole motor and you probably just trashed your turbos if you don't have filters on the line to them.

that noise u hear in the beggining is the shop next door ,using a diy grinder on a intake porting it out.>>,, i hate the way my car sounds the exhaust.. truel duals, with no muffler, straight from turbo,,, sounds like wet fart. i putting my delta's 40's bck on there,, dont care if i loose a lil bit power.. and how the hell u get that much power,,,nice ride

Man. I do really like your set up. and the best thing is that you are doing most of the work by your self. I just got a question regarding the wiring harness you are using. it cames from the donor vehicle.

yea pulled whole harness outa truck..99'... including dash,i have harnees for radio,a/c,etc.. for later when i install that stuff,, i am using cluster gauge outa the truck too,,even the swith for the key.. i ripped it outa the steering wheel,,, i no i have a lota wires i dont need,,but owell..just incase factor..

results,,spun bearing,, damaged crank,and rod,, it looked like it smashed the bearing right out the sides,, i will post pics,, i found a 5.3 short block $150 i gotta pull it out..wreck vehical,,junk yard,, there several vehicals to choose from,, avalanched,silverado's,..just going to see which one easiest to pull out,, i bought a ls6 cam, and talking with guy who has meth kit for cheap..>>>

pictures of the torn bearings,crank,motor pulled out,and my rigging i did to the flex plate.. it still held up to 418 torque to the wheels!!..haha i will probly get the real spacer now that it is out.. gonna make more power..

yea you spun the **** outa them makes you sick to the stomach when you blow a motor you just put in did it myself before

i did have 6.0 in there.. spun a bearing too.. i wonder what could be causing it.. could the head have anything to do with it.. i doubt it,, i used same heads on 6.0 on this 5.3,, very weird.. this is getting old.. i might just do my dream build<<turbo 496bbc

you may be geting to much gas you may have a injecter stuck open and all the gas may be going to the crank case check your oil smell it too ...did you put new or old ones INJ- if you have the fuel psi up to high that my do it to force fuel past the INJ... do you have a fuel bypass reg for boost..

no i dont have re for boost.. just using stock fuel rail truck... im no using a filter not good.. i do have smoke when i let off of gas, or coming to a stop,,, we couldn figure it out,, thought it was injectors or turbo seals,, i did have misfire a while back.. how do i clean them,,soak them in something.. trust me i will put filter on.. have one on the pump already.. oil does have smell,,
