The link below contains a feature from V8TV covering this truck. I think it turned out great. It gives an overview of the ease of use of the EFI system and how to integrate this crate engine or an EFI system into an older vehicle. It also covers the integration of the 6L90E transmission and Mast Motorsports CAN gauges.

Thanks to Kevin and Kelle at V8TV!

I'm in the process of installing my 6L90 and got the same Lokar shifter kit but had a question. There are a couple of nubs on the top of the steering column housing that prevent the Lokar piece from fitting around it. I assume you have the same nubs, did you grind them off, beat them down or something else?

Is that ECM a GM unit that is tweaked or did you guys start from scratch?

Thanks,
Whit

I love the way you did the shifter, and got rid of the old factory linkage. Do you know if this will work on a 1990 setup? I would have like to have seen this before starting my conversion. Thanks Art...

Is there a reason you didnt use the plate that comes with the energy suspension trans mount? Im running one and I suspect it is the cause of my vibration at low rpm before the converter hits its stall speed.

Maintaining pinion angle was the driving factor.

Default Exhaust??

So what size exhaust and mufflers did you use on your c10. Love the way it sounds on the video. I am in the process of starting the same build but I think I am going to use your LY6 that you have on special right now. This would be good enough for my needs.

thanks

Awesome build - definitely a first class job.

Does that trans cooler mounted to the front of the front crossmember keep the trans temp down? What kind of temps do you see?

Yep...just picked up a box of those from a trade deal. Brand new in the box and $300 to me....he got a 454 2 bolt long block with 20k miles. I'd say I got a decent deal on that one.

3" in/3" out Magnaflows. They sound really good...they are pretty quiet at idle, but come alive whenever you get into the throttle.

Hope this helps!!!

Thanks for the compliments! It has done a good job so far, however, I don't have a temp. number for you since we don't have a gauge on it.

So, do you have the ability to put the 6l80/90e behind a 5.3? I'd like to put a 5.3 in my colorado with a 6 speed auto. Would I need to change the reluctor wheel?
