Hey just bought a LS1 hotcam and springs $175 shipped, i really hope this goes well with the 5.3 with manifolds

You should be able to use the LS1 starter. The teeth on the flywheel stay in the same position relative to the block. On the trucks that use the spacer they have a flat flexplate and the spacer goes in front of the flexplate......on yours the flexplate is probably dished so you will put the spacer behind the flexplate.

Early C4's were very light.

Just got my LS1 84 C4 yesterday. I'll scale it soon, but hope it is well under 3000.

Forgive my ignorance, but is the fuel pump you plan to use internal or external?

I swapped in a Dana 44 (put 3.91 gears in it)...completely stock halfshafts and all... (th350 /w 4000 converter)

It went 1.4 60fts and never broke it...

due to the army i havent been able to work on the car, i would actualy liek to get rid of the project.
the 5.3 is in the car now
its an internall fuel pump, fit right in place of the stock
