Motor Mounts
I plan to put a Sanderson pump for an A/C setup on the Nova.
Which motor mounts work/don't work with the lower A/C mount in place?
I don't mind notching the frame for the A/C, just don't want to buy a set of mounts that won't clear the compressor.

Brp setup is the only one that I know of that allows you to notch the frame. The others S&P ATS Autocraft DSE Hooker, ect place the motor to far back to use stock A/C. Not a big fan of BRP. Major oilpan clearance problems with stock steering, they also place the swaybar upsidedown to the rear. Looks like a cattle catcher?

That problem of your suspension is only realated to BRP and Gen I F-Body and 68-72 X-Body with a stock F-Body oil pan. For The A-Body, the BRP will clear the x-member without any problem with the suspension... as the F-Body and X-Body are rear steer, but the A-Body is Front Steer.
You might look into the new BRP kit that uses the LH8 pan, but move the engine forward to allow the usage of the OEM placement of the AC Compressor.
As far as the Mount... yes, the older or original BRP style are the only type that will not come into contact with the AC Compressor. But notching of the Frame will be required.

Here some shots of the firewall the S&P kit puts the engine lower on the K-member and further back on the frame.
I also have 1 mid length and 6 LT hedders options for the 67-69 F-Body and 68-74 Nova as well
Thanks

BRP Hotrods,
Looking at the photo showing the AC compressor, it appears as if the -10 side of the compressor block will route the fitting (too) close to the header. Any potential problem with that?
Thanks,

I think I figured it out the way I want to go. There is tons of stuff on motor mount plates here, took some time to weed through it.
The basic plate setups:

Pictures in this thread explains the differences:

Thread that sealed the deal for me (thanks ls1nova99):

Looks like I will be going with the -1" plates and Corvette accessories.
Found a solution for the A/C on ebay of all places:

Not my first choice, but it balances out the high mounted vette alternator pretty well.

You could also use F-Body engine side mounts and then make your own lower mounts up. It just requires 1/4" steel bent into a u-shape and weld it to a flat plate. Thats how my mounts are made and it works great with a stock low mount compressor.

I bought the mounts that I am using off of 5.3_Racer who had built them for his cutlass. Heres a pic of them https://ls1tech.com/forums/attachmen...9&d=1105145060
