Default Is there a way to achive more FUEL PRESSURE in a Jeep TJ

I have: 2001 ls1/4L60E from a TransAm
I have: 1998 Jeep TJ

I NEED: At lease 53-54 psi of fuel pressure for the ls1 and the jeep stock fuel pump puts out 47-49psi because of the fuel regulator on top of the fuel pump it maxes out to 49psi and anything higher than that will trickel down back into the fuel tank.

Question: Is there a fix for this?

Thanks

Sure. Since you have that setup in the tank, it's safe to add an inline pump and an external regulator (or Vette 3 port fuel filter). Then add a return line from the regulator back to your tank.
You need 58 psi with the LS1.

That sounds great but where do I get such a part and how do I get around the existing fuel regulator on top of the fuel pump?

You just leave the existing pump and regulator in place and ADD the inline pump further up-line towards the engine, and the regulator/filter after that. You let your existing pump/regulator feed the new pump and regulator and you're then supplying the needed 58 psi.
I carry AC/Delco inline pumps for $115. The Vette filter/regulator is around $50 - $55 if I remember right.

John - What is the part number for the pump? Will it suffice by itself if I don't have a pump in the tank? Do you carry the filter/regulator as well or do I need to order it from GM? Do you know the regulator part number? thanks, LM
