Are you planning on runing the stock cluster? speedo inparticular? I have been doing some digging around and thinking of the same swap without the turbo, but keep hearing the bmw CAN system controls most everything electronic in the car.... i've even herd the heater controls! do you know of a way around it? thanks

+1 I'm curious of how the electronics worked out? How was that done?

I'm 80% set on doing an LSx swap in my E39 (non-FI) and am looking for a solution for the gap between the GM PCM and harness to the multiple BMW computers.

Damnit! I thought of GMW 553 for mine... looks like you beat me to posting it. Congrats on completing the build. What did you guys do to interface the PCM with the BMW brains? What did you lose in the conversion?

Awesome project!

Are the BMW gauges working with the GM pcm? Was there any issues with the BMW (GMW) CAN system?

Awesome Swap... You should post the build info ect. On bimmerforums.com They would Eat it up..

I have a 700 whp E36 myself. And I love this swap..

BTW Do you still have the 540 6 spd. stuff for a swap? I'd be interested..
