I finally got around to relocating the vette fuel filter/regulator. Here's some pics of how I did mine.

This is how I had it originally, kinda ghetto I know....

Now it's all braided stainless line (-6 AN).

Tunnel mounting of braided line.

I modified the stock fuel line brackets to hold the new line. I'm gonna keep an eye on it and if it starts wearing on the tunnel I'll change it. Should be fine for now though.

Nice pics. Thats almost exactly how I did mine. I just had my lines come out the stock LT1 location.

Oh yeah, new motor fired today!

Thanks man. I didn't want the new line coming over the top of the headers so I routed it down the tunnel instead. What's the new motor like (specs)?

I also ran the car at the track this last Friday night. Track was slippery as hell but I managed several 11.7 second passes at 123mph. Check it out here:

The "LT1" specs are in the sig. Just your run of the mill LS-swap.

Crappy Video from a Blackberry. You get the picture.

Most of my parts where available at my shop. The ones that were conversion specific (K-member, etc.) I just bought. I did my own wiring harness and brake lines, as well as fuel system conversion. If you have everything readily available and want to do a stock to mild LS1, its not to bad. I however, am the wrong person to ask about price because I went a little crazy.

I just mean for the parts to run an LS1 engine. if i did it, i would want 450+ rwhp, which is going to cost a good deal i know. Just wondering if i could go LS1 or if i should stick to LT1.

looks like u got off pretty cheap for the conversion though. im guessing the engine is what cost u

Nice clean install for the filter/regulator. I didn't do that cuz I'm cheap and would rather replace the stock filter for $5 then the Corvette one for $50.

did you ever make any numbers with this setup? I have an ls2 shortblock on the stand and I just bought a pair of L92s from SDPC. Saving up for a LS3 intakemanifold/rail/injectors.

Currently trying to figure out what to do about a cam.

What are your heads milled to?
What gaskets?
Since your sleeved, im assuming you have dished pistons to clear the cam?

I’m curious if all your instruments worked correctly? Tach, speedo, oil, fuel and other gauges? Great job. Thanks

I haven't had it on the dyno yet, it's only been 'street' tuned with my EFILive software. It did run the 1/4 mile numbers in my sig so if I had to guess a hp number, it should be right in the 470-490rwhp mark judging from the mph.

Heads were milled 0.025" to get the compression up. Pistons are aftermarket forged flat tops with deep valve reliefs. I had to relieve some clearance around the very outer edges of the valve reliefs for the different valve angle, but it was very minimal.

With the Darton MID wet sleeved block, I have to run special Cometic gaskets. They were 0.040 installed thickness.

Intake manifold is stone stock. I'd imagine a little bit of port work should pick up 5-10hp. I'm losing kpa at the very topend from 5800-6400, but 97 is as low as I've seen at WOT.

Hope that answers most of your questions. For cam selection, I'd check out the dynomometer section. There have been some good numbers coming from stock cubed LS2's with L92 heads in there lately. FWIW, I don't think my cam is optimized for my setup, but it's working ok for the time being and it's easy on valvesprings.

Whats the lift on your cam ?
Are you running the stock L92 valvesprings?
What CC are your heads with the 0.025 mill?

I have checked. Shawn and Ed at VA speed are making some pretty wicked numbers. I do not want to flycut though

Iv been talking with charlie @ RPM and Rick @ Livernois about cam profiles. all the numbers all seem to be in the mid to low 23xs at around .590-.600 lift.

Some swear by the "big split" some dont. *shrugs*

What are your plans for your setup anyway? spray or boost?
