This **** is just unreal! I have ******* cover on the car and still, everything is ******* soaked! At this point, I believe water is a conscious entity, that goes out of its way to get inside and flood the floor and seats!
My vert sometimes leaks at the driver's window right where the top meets the windshield. At that spot, it drips right onto the outer edge of the driver's seat. If I hit the rubber with some gummi phludge (however it's spelled - LOL), it stops. I've gotten water under the back seat and into the rear wheel wells when the the rear roof drains get clogged with debris - that happens alot after autumn after all the leaf debris and seeds get in there.
Do you get the same leaks whether the cover is on or not? If so, then the cover isn't water proof. I'd do a test with a hose to see if I could find the water pathway: The weatherstripping would be damp/wet where it's leaking in around the window, and I'd check the rear seat drains to ensure they weren't clogged with debris.
I just took a look at my car and noticed that the window weatherstripping goes all the way to the edge of the dashboard, on either side. Could be that water is getting underneath weatherstripping and flowing down along the edge of the dash. I'd get a friend to hose the top while your inside with a light and try and track the flow of water.
LOL - I found about 1/4 inch water in my trunk yesterday, following two days of heavy rain. Punched out the rubber drains and letting the trunk dry out. Driving with the top down makes all this crap worth it!
what about the hvac blower fan and/or cabin filter? if the cover only covers up to the windshield cowl, the rainwater might divert further down and into the cabin filter. worth to check if the filter's stained/wet or not
