No they don't, but I would highly recommend them. I just had mine put on 2 months ago and you can definitly notice less body flex.

Well, they sort of do, GM added additional undercarriage reinforcing, but it wasn't anything major. The underside of a vert is different to a t-top

I do agree, SFC's are a good add on. BMR makes nice weld in tubular models, SLP was supposed to have a bolt in boxed version and there is a guy on Chirpthird, that makes them.

Kenny Brown DD SFCs here as well. Well worth the $$, no interior rattles. The T/A is tight going over railroad tracks, manhole covers and fucked up roads.

i've been looking at the MAC sfc's myself , i 've got a third gen 'vert and they seemed like the most "bang for the buck". everyone i've talked to who has installed any sfc's on any body style of f-body has noticed a difference. i'll need them to install my LS1 /T56 combo that i have.the problem with third gens is not too many companies make sfc's for them . the Alstons also seem to be a good choice.

GM calls them subframe supports, but they are a damn joke. I put weld on BMR SFC's on, what a difference!!!

The factory reinforcement is good for straight "frame"
sag but does nothing for torsional rigidity, which is
where we see the flex & wobble from. The triangulated
frames suppress this. I am going to try making my own,
simpler, because after going to the BMR K-member I
now have more shake on bumps & corners than before
(lost the tranny X-brace and a less rigid nosepiece).
Hoping I can settle down the woggles with less than
30lb of SFC.

I've got Macs on my 94Z. They work... Though I don't like Mac as a company, at the time I got them, they were the only ones that fit the 'vert.

If you look under a hardtop or T-top car, then look under the 'vert, you'll see the difference. A bunch of stamped panels were added under the vert body, between the front and rear channel frames. But I too noticed a huge difference after installing SFC's (there was one 'bump' in the parking lot at work - where my dash would creak without the SFCs - it didn't creak any more after I had them installed).

I have the BMR weld ins but as someone said earlier I've been too lazy and everyone here wants a arm and a leg to weld them. Bad thing about it is that I've had them since Christmas lol.

Any have side pics of the BMR's installed? I don't like when subframes hang down, I don't want to see them from the side of the car.

I got some. They may not be the angle your looking for. But you cannot even see these BMR's at all, unless you get underneath the car to view them.
If you need better pics, Let me know and I will go out to the garage and shoot some more.
You can also vew my sig pic for a distance shot.(Can't even see them) I think even if you took off the ground effect your probably still wouldn't see them.
