Went on 3 with a viper and we both had our tops down. (Just playing obviously, I knew he would smoke me) Before i knew it we were at 160 and i kept going. he must have been going 175+ by the end of it all. I know i burried my needle so i really couldn't tell how fast i was really going. I love being able to keep up with guys who pay 50+ or more for their cars. Yeah wind was a little crazy but enjoyable none the less. I was supprised that she could hang in there with the top down at that speed.

BTW: Top up 145. Not so much a Police worry as a freakin 8-point running out in front of you!

I've had mine up to 130-135 a few times now with the top down. Not too terribly noisy, but man when I shifted 4th-5th fast and hard, I could feel the nose of the car come up. A little bit of a scary feeling... I let off slightly and then hit it again.... man 5th gears pulls HARD in these things. I can't wait to drive my 400-450 RWHP LS1/T56/4.11 9" setup when its done and installed in my '91 GTA.

I think you'd be lucky to have 10 cops total on duty at the same time in Flint. And they've usually got better things to do than pull people over. My dads a firefighter for the city and they have something like 15 firefighters on duty for the whole city at any given time. And Swartz Creek's got like 2 cops out at a time, that seems to be about the average for the area. Anyways, the radar detector is my friend.

Still way to much "Serving and Protecting" for me. No offense to all of the fine men an women who do But when you're not used to seeing that many in one week let alone one night, well............. Also are you sure on the 10 cop thing? I grew up in Flint....A.) I would think more than 10 cops on duty for the "per-capita murder capitol", agreed perhaps not all Flint City though, and imho B.) They are looking for people to pull over and give Street Racing tickets to. I used to be one. Trust me I got plenty o' tickets in my young and dumb days. (not proud btw) 12:00am-2:00am on Dort/Sag people aren't generally "Grocery Shopping in the Z."

130 top up. 145 top down. Noise not to bad. I had a 70 (396 4sp) Chevelle that made more noise at that speed and scary to drive at that speed. My 70 (383 auto) Road Runner's front end would wave at people. Meaning the front tires would leave the ground at 135+ if I hit any rise or dip in the road. I guess the air would push the front up. It was dam scary the first time it happened. I know they are older cars but the SS felt like I could do twice that speed and still have control. This SS is one dam fine car!!!!
