Default Fastest you've gone w/ the top down?

Saw this on a diff board and heven't seen it here yet. I had nothing worth posting at that time, and still don't know if I do but I'll start. 125mph. It was quite loud and windy I might add. Haven't really felt the need to go any faster (with the top down) yet.

I've been up to about 135 with the top down. Then again, I hardly ever drive my car with the top up. I think I've had it to maybe 130 with the top up, and that was just as scary as with the top down. I don't like the sounds of the air leakin in, or the top rippling in the wind.

130 top down. Pretty scary with all the wind buffeting.
145 with the top up. Not scary.

One other thing I should put in.This is an FYI for someone getting the idea to see how fast they can go.

The last time I saw this posted (other board) Someone posted up that they got upto 140...but then saw his GM convertible top covers "Skid-a-murink-e-dinkin" down the road behind him. Just thought I'd throw that out there since I never would have given it a thought either.

Been 145 with the top down on a 2001 BMW Z3 3.0. I didn't hear any wind noises (besides the normal) probably because I had some Metallica blaring and was so in the zone.

I went 130 the other day doing tuning pulls on the
Interstate. It was not bad for wind and felt plenty
stable. My car is lowered 1" and has fat fresh GS-D3
tires.

140+ with the top down. Not to smart I might add.. I know this car can go 170 easy, but I'm not willing to take it there on a public road.

I did 140 with the top down one night after work at about 4 am. I-20 west was empty, nice clear summer night, about 75 degrees, it was magic. The wind kicked me around a little, but at the time, i didn't have any hair so my eyes didn't get a beating. For a stock car, it still amazes me how well it performs.

I don't really go out with the purpose of topping my car out, the gears kind of kill that experience. I had it up to 120 last night (top down) to do a little logging with the wideband.

115 top down (out of room), 140 top up. At 140 i noticed the top was starting to push down into the cabin.

Thats my thing. Iv'e got the room up where I live. Unfortunately the DEER in my area seem to think they can cross the road whenever they want. Cops not so much a worry as we only have about 2~3 on duty at any given time for our county. My gosh, we only have freakin traffic light in the county for cryin out loud. Lots of back-back roads to do this on, also lots of 10-points, 8-points etc...

135 top down, 140 up. Both times I was in the zone so the wind and noise were non-issues.

152 top down, 160+ top up.

Been over 145mph several times with the top down, car feels just as stable as w/ top up, just a lot more windy.

Was there a Faster car pushing it? No way in hell a Z3 with an M3 would go tha fast let alone a 3.0
But anyway, 145 top down, very stable, but rather sluiggish from like 125+, and VERY loud and windy. Have hit 130+ top down numerous times just screwing around with other cars.

I think i might have been faster than that, but i was too focussed on the cars in front.....i had it redlined in 4th.....so not sure what it was exactly.
