Default 11.60

I ran an 11.60 on a street tire (10 bolt) NA @ 4050lb race weight.

Set up is below

TSP 396 Stroker
Stage 2 heads
custom cam
comp R's
Pro Mag Rockers
Mac Headers
Ls6 intake
36# injectors
custom tune

Stage 3 4l60e
3400 midwest converter
Stock 10 bolt
basic bolts ons
and Spon susp.

I smoked a heads/cam Vette by 3 car lenghts

Best 60' 1.69

There is plenty of room for improvment here. Car is going on a diet and I am shooting for 11.0 or better next year. MAYBE a Trex is necessary.

12.93 @ 108.58. The air out here is never that great. Now it's time to see what she does with the LT's & TD's.

What are the rules for a vert to go drag racing? Someone said if you don't have to have a rollcage if you are slower than a certain speed??? Also, I think you have to have one of the drivetrain loops to keep you from pole vaulting if you break it?

Also, CableBandit I notice you are from the Atlanta area too. Do we have to goto B'ham to race?

Thanks,
Rob

Hoping for low 11's
This ws6 has to be one of the cleanest sweetest rides around.

I weighed in @ 3760 with me & 1/2 tank of gas all I had out was the spare & jack. made 3 passes & then weighed it.its all stock with an air lid & K/n filter & had bfg drag radials & did not do a burn out due to a very bad clutch. No other mods, but have a tnt nitrous wet kit, but it was not in the car on the 3 runs.

1st pass: 2.276 @60', 1/8 8.97@83.07, 1000' 11.49, 1/4 1361@106.00 I had to dry the tires cause there was no way around the water box on this pass & that made my clutch slip bad

2nd pass: 2.09 @60', 1/8 8.63@83.02, 1000' 11.26, 1/4 14.42@60.46
No burn out went around water box & straight to the lights But had to hit brakes due to sucky *** moroso said I cannot go faster then 14 sec.

3rd pass: 2.06 @60', 1/8 8.58@84.58, 1000' 11.07, 1/4 13.68@65.93
Tried to hit the brakes again But was not fast enough & no burn out, I think I left a little higher rpm, Got kicked out after that pass for going to fast without a roll bar LOL 13 sec is too fast ..... what a JOKE

If this is some good or bad times for what I have please let me know?

Thanks

There is a pure stock class that states that you can't exceed a certain list of mods. The fastest speed you can go to is 11.5 without a roll bar. With ls1's i dont think it would be that easy without breaking the pure stock rules. faster than 11.5 requires safety loop and roll bar. If you dont fit within the rules of the pure stock class your fastest time cant exceed the 13.99 standard. Visit www.NHRA.com for the pure stock rules and regs. Basically it states that you cant break into the internal engine and start modding and expect to be within the guidelines. I used to hit the breaks near the end of the track to avoid being kicked out.

Rob if you run Dallas 1.8 you gotta have a cage for 8.5 or faster. Commerce is VERY strict...Silver Dollar in Reynolds Ga is a LITTLE lax on t-n-t nights. Steele, Ala anything goes. From Atlanta it's about 145 miles. Takes about 2 hours 20 minutes to get there from Smyrna.

Very true what you said.... My car is very much in the guidlines of the rules for pure stock .... This is where MOROS MOTOR SPORTS PARK OF WEST PALM BEACH FLORIDA SUCKS......They said they do not honor this rule..... basically there whole operation is shady & is very poorly run ..... So anyone palning on going there BEWARE......
