Default Has anyone raise the front tires off the ground?

Like the title says, wife has always wanted me to get the tires off the ground. But in a vert with no drag susp. mods, I doubt that will ever happen.

What have you guys done to achieve this. ie.susp?,motor?,tires?

Thanks

Cool No But That Would Be Some Isht...

...MY VERT WILL BURN A LONG-*** TRAIL 10-20 FT OR SO AND ITS AN A4, BUT I THINK THE TWO KEY ELEMENTS ARE TIRES AND TORQUE. I CAN'T GET
THE FRONT OF MY HOG UP EITHER, ALL IT DOES IS BURN AND FISHTAIL (WHICH IS KINDA COOL IN ITS OWN RIGHT)

Yea I have only had my car to the track once and I broke all the wheel studs off of my moser 12 bolt. But that was on my second pass. My first pass I only launched at 2000 and it pulled the front end about a foot and a half. It wouldve really come up the second run when I launched at 5500 if the studs wouldnt have snapped. Ive got a 383 6 speed, 12 bolt, and all suspension, so i wouldnt count on it with the stock rearend, but with a good rearend you could do it with out other suspension I think.

If that's your only goal it shouldn't be all that hard. Get a short torque arm, LCA's, some sticky tires, and dump your clutch on the rev limiter. If that doesn't do it, then you broke something.

I did once crossing Kennedy on McDill when I first moved to Tampa, going 65 to cut off a vette, cross street was pitched so steep the front was airborne, k-member and oil pan show evidence of the destruction.

I tried but dont think so best 60 ft was 1.68 but I had 17" on all four corners but went 12.21@110, going back with some bogarts on it and trying again.

I'm getting close.

as far as suspension I have
Strut Tower Brace
Sub-Frame Connector's
Lower Control Arm's
and I'm adding a Torque Arm next week. I've got pretty much all the bolt-ons minus the LS6 intake which is going on soon and no pullies.

wow, looks like a lot of squat there. have you considered getting an anti-roll bar yet? that should help it lift the fron end more i would think!

My best that day was a 12.94 @ 107.xx with a 1.94 60'. I should be faster but at the big end I seem to be falling on my face. hopefully my new intake and retune will help with that.

All I have is the stock anti-roll bars. would an after market one really help that much?

wow, i thought you were much faster judging by how much lift you seemed to have. i can't say for sure if it would if you're in the high 12's. might want to spend that money else where for now like the wheels or k-member or something. just my oppinion.

i've run an 11.92 to date without one. they told me i'm fine as long as i don't dip into the 10's. unfortunately, that wasn't a problem last time i was there. lol.
