Default Pro kit on a vert???

Hey guys I bought a slightly used prokit to put on my vert but looking at the Eibach application listing it specifically says not for verts? Is anyone running these? Any problems? Likes\Dislikes?

Probably going to go with Bilsteins but if anyone has any advice on a cheaper alternative feel free to post this is more of a "bling mobile" its never going to see a track, I just want it to look good and be a comfortable driver.

I've heard that the rear will start to sag after awhile.
One of the reason's why I got the Hotchkis set-up.

well they sag in the coupe too I was going to do the hose mod and keep the isolaters in the rear. You can't go wrong with Hotchkis I got these basically new from a friend for a 100 bucks!

Jason how you do haven't talked to you in a long time!! What shocks are you running on your vert? Do you still have your 93? I wish I wouldn't have sold mine.. I don't miss the WS6 so much but I do miss that knucklebusting 93

Hey Bobby, yeah that 93 of yours was a nice car Its only about 5 hours from me now! Yes, I still have my 93 Formula, but I picked up a 95 Z28 convertible since I have always wanted a droptop.

I cut 1/2 coil off the front of my ProKit to "even it out" since the front of the car sits a little too high in the front for my taste with the ProKit on it. I really love the springs though...this is about my 4th set since i have had them on every 4th gen I have owned.

That is a tight Z06!

LOL I'm going to try and get to the east coast this fall to "visit it" Just kidding my moms out there but she has a 50th vert C5 that just rots in the garage so I'm going to take it down to NY from NH and visit fastbird and check out the local track

I don't know on the cutting of the front spring, I have an RKsport spoiler and don't really want to go lower than I have to, I guess I just throw them on and see they are going to be a little different because they are the LS1 springs.

Eibach stipulate not to use the Sportlines... but OK for the prokits.
I've had both in the car.
Prokits do a great job... what shocks are you running ?
btw, the pix in the signature are with the prokits.

Pro kit sat to low for me especially in the rear.
BMR looked a lot better.

Your car looks great man!!! I haven't decided on shocks but I'm probably going to go with the standard Bilstein HD's. I would rather go cheaper because again this is really just a driver, but it seems that the Bilsteins are the lowest you should go according to everyone on the boards.

Hey you DID get the dual\dual OK didn't you? I just remembered I meant to PM you and make sure you were satisfied with it and that it made it OK. I thought for sure I'd at least get made fun of with sculpture I made out of the box

Default Pro kit on a vert???

I'm currently running the GMMG/Eibach Pro-Kit on my 1997 Artic White 30th Anniversary SS convertible. I have had it on there just over a year now. No problems, no complaints.

02_Phase2_ZL1....nice vert!

98DroptopSS....no, I used my stock shocks and they were fine. This is the 2nd car I have done that on. Its not the optimal pairing for the track (if you do roadcourse stuff), but for a street car it is plenty fine.

hell yeah.
stock shocks suck... and can't even damp the stock springs properly.
Putting different spring rates will make things worse to have them under control... shocks are a must.

Thanks for the replies. I will be saving for a set of bilsteins, unless there is a better, cheaper alternative.

Even a cheaper alturnative would be nice but it seems as if Bilsteins are the lowest decent shocks for the setup

Heres mine with the prokit,no probs and I like the feel,on Monroe sensa-trac shocks I know they're not great but My bud at Belle Tire had 'em in stock so I got 'em for basically free since he had to take the fronts out anyway.

But how does it ride with those Monroes better than stock, worse? Good taste btw, here is a pic mine, although I have the RK sport spoiler on the front now. Almost the same just different colors
