Cool Getting Six Speed!

Dropped off the SS with Keith Craft Motorsports to have the auto swapped for a T56. I have been waiting over a year to find someone willing to do this and I couldn't have found a sweeter deal. Low mile trans w/alum. flywheel, spec stage III clutch, adj. hyd. and a B&M ripper.... all brand new.

How much for labor? Just curious because its pretty easy to do although time consuming. Congrats though, I always say the only repair for the 4L60e is a T56

They're charging $800. But, they are swapping my auto into the 6spd. donar car at the same time.

Any idea if we need to swap computers. His is a '00 and mines a '99.

Well..... it's done. They ended up just swapping the harness and computer. Drives perfect, you'd never know it didn't come this way from the factory.

Special thanks to the guys at Keith Craft Motorsports. Rob and Mark did a great job in a timely fashion. Could not be happier.

Michael, Do you know if a vert needs different parts than a coupe?
Mine is also an A4 and the trans is almost toasted.
I'm going stick!

Thanks - Stefano

Yeah, they're real good. They run a class act operation.

Feel free to give Mark a call (972) 578-3550.

I was just thinking about where to get my swap done. Mine is an A4 20k miles and my only child She is still under warr. and mint. I want it done but just the thought of cutting a hole in her, dam gives me chills. I like doing my own work but I dont think I could do it my self. I would feel to guilty. Any way how did they cut the floor out? Im guessing they were very carefull. also how far from houston are they?

Its really not a big deal, the floor pan is stamped for the holes already, the shifter cut is a no brainer as long as your semi careful and it doesn't have to be perfect the rubber shift boot covers a larger area, you'd only be able to tell if a line wasn't straight from under the car and then the tranny would be in the way.

It was an easy swap really... lot of work but easy. If the tranny in my 98 ever goes out then I'll have a hard decision to make. I like the "chill factor of the auto" The Z06 can be a bear to drive the vert is my "luxury car" But I DO like rowing through gears!
