Springs would be less expensive ( if you put them on yourself ) and LOOK good. SFC's are a little more expensive for Vert's but tighten the car up so it'll FEEL good. Maybe you could find springs and SFC's used for a good deal here or on Ebay.

If you do springs you really need shocks too (especially if you are running stock) or your ride quality will be really poopy, and your handling may not show much improvement with only springs, due to poor damping. Also, good shocks will make the SFCs much less important, some would even argue useless.
So, what I am telling you is to go with a spring/shock combo or koni SA shocks alone if you are only looking for a 3/4" drop (they have an optional lower spring perch, and then the rear springs get the heater hose mod)

FWIW, I only noticed a very slight difference in the feel of the car with weld in SFCs. However, new shocks were a huge difference (bilstein HDs, not acceptable for use with lowering springs), the shocks made the car handle better and a more comfortable ride. This was with 25k miles on the clock, the stock shocks (on their best day) are really bad. Call Sam Strano at Strano parts for advice on exactly what to buy to achieve your goals, he knows his stuff.

i suppose if i were to do it again i would do SFC first mainly cuz we have verts, the primary reason i got the SFC is cuz i installed 3.73 gears so, and yes i love my springs and they make my car look 10x better and no complaints about the ride and the ability to launch harder but its not that expensive to do so its all in whats important

I have all my suspension done (SFC, LCA's, PH Rod, TQ Arm, etc.).
I did springs first and it wasn't the end of the world. I say do them first as long as it's not over an inch and a half drop. It'll look really nice.

Sfc
I just ordered a set of bolt on sfc's from don goetz at chirpthird.com. i think he makes them. they are powder coated and under $300. all the other companies charge way more for vert bolt ons and do not ship to military apo addresses, they don't get my money. the buyers say great things about his sfc's. the link below is what they look like. i also got his stb.

In the interest of full disclosure, I need to say I probably will never drop my WS6. I would like to keep it as stock as I can. I did add SFCs and a STB just to keep it from shaking itself to death on our exciting (read bad pavement) Texas roads. I failed to install those on my 91 Z28 5M convertible and I deeply regret not doing it. I was not looking for a significant improvement in handling; I just wanted to keep her screws, etc. tight as long as possible.

My car looks stock to me... Wheel gap is not a "stock" attribute most people say they would like to keep.
When I dropped my car 1 inch, my wife says I wasted my time because she could not notice the difference. Obviously, she's not the best example of an enthusiast observer, but you get the point.

I didnt feel squat with my subframe connectors and if you do some searches youll understand why they shouldnt be a first mod and arent really needed for a while. Money could be better spent elsewhere.
