Color Top?

Im replacing my completely worn out top next week... its originally black, but i was thinking of changing it to grey...

anybody done this before? my car is silver, anybody seen something similar? any ideas; light or dark grey top?

my friend has a shop that custom makes tops... hes done them for a bunch of cars before and the fit is like its from the factory... so no one is with the grey top idea?

i was thinking of having the top a bit darker than the body color... anybody seen pix of stuff like this before?

How custom can he go? This is probably over the edge, but can you also get the orange stripes on it?

lol, i dont think so. actually im gonna repaint the whole car to be silver with darker silver ghost effect stripes (ie they show from one angle, and from another angle its like the car has no stripes). so i just want a plain grey top to match the whole silver theme
