According to NHRA, you're allowed to be as fast 11.49 without a rollbar. But only as long as the car is stock. However, once you've made any modifications, you have to install a 6-pt. rollbar.

I can't imagine you having any problems right now. I wouldn't expect anything better than low 13's right now. And even if you were to dip into the 12's, I hear that alot of track officials really don't care.

The official rule from NHRA states that convertibles running faster than 13.49-10.0 and hardtop/t-top cars running 11.49-10.0 must have a 6pt. rollbar. And then they go on to say that vehicles that are able to run as fast as 11.49 stock do not have to have a rollbar. Regardless if it's a 'vert or a hartop.

for verts you are supposed to have a 6pt. roll bar at 13.49 or something like that but most tracks don't enforce that because that is just retarded

I was told to slow down as well because I dont have a cage. Sucks because I dont run the car that often.

That doesn't suprise me. It's too bad they don't care about your safety. You don't want to see the results of an open top car that has flipped upside down.
