Only 9 Threads For Verts???

Why 17"?
- Michigan roads blow. 18"s = too much bending risk for me.
- Some usable protection against curbing. Haven't done it yet but it's nice knowing if it happens you have at least a chance of not tearing up the rim.
- 17" tires have the "right" sidewall to rim relationship in my humble opinion. I don't particularly care for the O-ring appearance that is popular these days.
Some things I've learned:
- Cheap rims = cheap chrome. 1 Michigan year and I have some very minor pitting with good care and no daily driving during the main winter months. I've painted the inside barrels at this point to help lower the risk of peeling.
- 10 spokes means twice as many crevices to clean. Yah, I'm lazy but I have taken good care of them for a regular working joe. Still, they are a pita to clean.
If I have trouble with these, I will probably end up with 35th anni wheels from GMpartsdirect. Similar cost and OEM durability.
Just my .02.
