Talking Question About Headers

I currently have Flowtech long tube headers on my 02 TA convertable.
The header thats installed on the right side of the car is fine.
The header on the left side fits a little to tight & when Im turning or going at a slow speed I can hear it hitting against the side.
It makes a funny noise.
The tech at the performance shop tried to move it over a bit but no luck.
Does anyone else have this problem?
I want to order mid-length headers, but Im afraid it wont make enough noise.
************************************************** *******
Also, if anyone here has mid-length or long tube please speak up on your thoughts.

Default headers

Most everyone I have talked to is running pacesetters without any problems, I think you will lose alot of power by going to a midlength, you may wanna do some flow research before making any changes.

Most longtubes will fit. I'd check carefully for where it bangs. It might just be a heat shield or something that can be hammered out.

The Mufflex bump stop hanger will fix it. I believe Texas Speed sells them.

the pacesetters are definitely a good bang for your buck. I have the dynatech with catted y-pipe and honestly, a header install, including manual, has never been so detailed and smooth!!

a good alternative if you dont mind spend a few extra bucks and going stainless.

OH, im selling my dyantechs and y-pipe. if you r interested, let me know. The cats are a bit scratched but no punctures. The headers themselves have no bangs on them...

let me know.

Ive decided to go with Stainless Works LT headers with a catted Y-pipe.
But I hope you find someone who wants to buy them from ya.
E-bay maybe?

Well, the Flowtech headers that I had on there are in really bad shape.
Also, I didnt have a catted Y-pipe, it was an off-road one.
The Y-pipe was full of dents and the headers were not coated.
The header on the left is so dented from hitting against the driveshaft it wouldnt be worth it.
Look on www.summitracing.com. You might find some inexpensive headers.

My TTS header rubbed on the steering knuckle and you could only hear it and feel it when you were turning. I pulled the header of and sent it back to TTS where they put it in their jig and bent the tube that was rubbing. Problem solved. You could probibly do the same with a muffler shop, just take the header off and mark the area where it is rubbing, and they should be able to bend the tube out of the way a little. Hope this helps.
