anyone try using magic eraser on a fabric top? i've got a tan fabric top that looks like crap. is it safe or does it wear down the fabric?

Magic erasers are the **** when it comes to cleaning but I could only imagine it falling apart as soon as you start using it on your top before it cleans anything off.

I have some stains as well that just will not come out no matter what kind of top cleaners I use so I finally had the chance to buy a new black top but just have to figure out time to put it on.
I figure with black it will not show stains as well and I plan on using protector and **** on it since it will be new

Wink

Instead of using a cleaner, try using a product that moisturizes and keeps the top from looking faded.
I had a hard time finding something like that, so I asked the upholstry shop who specializes in convertible tops if he can order the ragtopp brand. Thats the only brand I know of that sells the protector and moisture stuff.
Well, now I know about the 303 brand...Ill have to look into that.

This is really old reading but RaggTopp is still the only way to go. My tops on my verts look as good as possible. You can still get this stuff in the $20-$25 range per can. JC Whitney usually has the best bang for the buck when they offer free shipping.
