Didn't do much for my top (black) that regular carwash soap couldn't do.
In terms of protectant go with Raggtop.

the best protectant for cloth is to cover up your car. those sealants and protectants while shileding the car form the sun and such isnt 100% and that stuff also degrades the cloth aswell.

I agree, I cover my car in my work parking spot each day and my top is no where near as faded as my coworkers' black convt. cloth tops even though their cars are all at least 3 years newer than my '01.

WOW...thanks for the insightful commentary.
I am sure we all feel better knowing you are on the case with this top cleaner.
Oh wait...never mind, you didn't post anything anyway.

I always get the ragg-top brand stuff too. A little pricey, and the protectant comes off pretty easy I think, but seems to do a good job. Spot cleaning, the magic eraser seems to work well, though you have to be careful and gentle, because you can get the spot too clean so it doesn't match the rest.

I bought some stuff from Autozone just to try it out. Seemed to work well, but the top def. needs to be dyed or something still
