Default Ran the Vert

So I finally ran the Trans Am at the track. I have long tube headers and a cut out installed and i went 13.69 at 103.1mph with a 60 ft of 2.19. My tires are bald stock tires from the factory with 35000 miles on them. Traction was a problem. Some radials will help. Cant wait to see how much they will help.

Stock gears with an A4 Im guessing? Not too bad. What did you wiegh in at?

I ran 14.2 @ 101 here at Bandimere with headers and gears. Weighed in at 3700 with me in it.

I was at the strip tonight and thought I'd share the times. This was my second time ever at the track so there is room for improvement in my driving......maybe, the times were consistent for the most part (you tell me)

1st R/T .650, 60' 2.230, 1/4 13.773@ 106.10
2nd R/T.114, 60' 2.194, 1/4 13.622@106.67
3rd R/T .538, 60' 2.078, 1/4 13.547@104.03
4th R/T .323, 60' 2.241, 1/4 13.570@ 104.8

This was done with a stock 02, WS6 convertible.

Well my drag radials are in and Im hoping to make it to the track again.

I did not weigh the car but I know its heavy. All I did was take out the spare tire and jack. Also I weigh 285 myself. Both of us need a diet. Me and the car.

Yes its an A4

Nitrous is on the way. When I put my headers r on I figured I would do the spark plugs at the same time. All the parts places only had the tr6's and I did not want to wait.

I got a used rearend w/ 3.42s going in, 3200 stall being ordered, tnt f1 nitrous kit next.

Good thinking with doing plugs then lol. I have the NX MAF kit for my LT1 and love it. Run 100 shot right now and went from a 103mph to 117mph in the 1/4 with timing pulled just a little.
Drop those DRs to 15psi and have fun

about where im at i ran 13.62 @ 104 with a 2.19 60ft. Couldn't launch had to feather into start otherwise spin. Lt's ory, catback, 3.73's, lid with me 3800 on the dot

That's a pretty nice increase in trap speed. Are you running a stock fuel pump on that 100 shot?

What happened between the first two and the last two runs? 2 mph is a bunch...

Good question, I don’t understand how this all shakes out. If you compare run 2 and run 4 it doesn’t make sense that run four was fastest. 60’ time is close MPH is higher on run 2 yet the overall time was slower? Runs 1 and 2 took place in late afternoon with a air temp around 81°F, run 3 and 4 happened later in the evening and the air temp had dropped to 68°F. maybe someone in this forum has an answer. Nothing was done to the car between runs.

I'm guessing it's stock..... what is a PCV setup? the car is stock, other then being lowered.

Do a search in External Engine. You are probably getting oil in the intake which will cause knock. My car was inconsistent until I stopped all oil from entering the intake.
