Default recommend me a lowering setup

wanting to lower my 00 ws6 vert. Have qtp lt's and ory with cutout so cant go crazy but as of now i can still drive over speed bumps with no scrapage whatsoever. Plan on doing 19's next year but for now want to get rid of some of that rediculous fender gap. What do u recommend. Want to ride similiar a little stiffer aint bad but dont want to spend a crazy amount of money either.

You can lower pretty easily and cheaply. But its likely that the cheaper you go, the worser your ride quality will be. Also, if your running 19's, I am guessing that your tires will probably have a pretty low profile which also will affect your ride quality because of sidewall flex. If ride quality is important then maybe a smaller diameter rim would be better or adjustible shocks would be a good buy since you can do a tailor them more to what kind of ride you want. Just my $.02.

I have QTPs with catted Y. I am lowered on eibach pro kit...TOO LOW. Had to put in half inch spacers just to be able to get out of the garage w/o scraping. My fender gap used to be 2 fingers, now its four, but its not as bad as factrory ride height was. Be very careful with you choice if you dont want to scrape.

I also used to have 18 inch Smoothie 2s, and ride quality was pretty stiff so i dropped down to 17s and love it. 19s will be a terrible ride, I guarantee it. Good luck.

I'll second the Strano springs and Koni's. I love them, both the look and the ride. The handling is awesome. Lot of fun at Nurburgring.

Keep the stock set up. You'll be much happier in the end , spend that money else where.

See what I mean ! It just isn't worth the aggravation.
I (MUST) be gettin old when a smooth ride is more important than looks .

I have hotchkis springs on my 96z28 vert. One inch drop. I use kyb adjustable shocks. No complaints,Hotchkis ride good and handle great and I dont' scrape much but I dont' have longtubes. Bought mac mids to get a bit more ground clearance.
In my 99 trans am I bought slp eibach springs about 3/4 to mabye 1 inch drop. Also use kyb agx in that car. Also no complaints. I like minimum drop for looks, and handling and ride didn't get much worse with my combo.
I am going twin turbo kit on the 99 trans am but think will be fine. I had long tubes and then the adjustable shocks saved the day and stopped pretty much all bottoming out. Course you still have to go very slow over rumble strips and crap like that.
