how rare is this? my dad has an 01 white ss vert. it a black roof with black leather. it's an m6 with slp chrome zr1s, slp torson aluminun cover, slp level II suspension, slp ss grille, ss floor mats, and 345 hp package with the CME? breakdown numbers would be awsome!!
There were 42 2001 SS M6 manufactured but there aren't any numbers to identify the number that had black tops. 326 of all 411 SS M6 2001 convertibles had black tops. As you can see, black was by far the most popular top color. What would make it more rare is probably the SLP options. SLP might be able to tell you how many 2001 white M6 cars had the CME & other options yours has.

The 345HP package wasn't available until part way through the 2002 model year. You could have ordered the 345HP package when the 2002 first came out, but SLP would have sent you the Blackwing lid after they became available (maybe February '02?).
The 2001 could have been ordered with a 335HP package (check the passanger side door for the SLP sticker)

All these are just the Factory Ratings. The '02's were "rated" at 325HP. All LS1 F Bodies put out ~350HP at the flywheel. The 335HP package was just a Cat-back exhaust, and the 345HP package was the exhaust along with the Blackwing lid. Basically the 1st mods that somebody would do to their car, gets done before it was sold to the customer.
