Default 95 Camaro Drop top - Rear window has fallen out!

I have a 95 camaro convertible. The rear window on the car has fallen completley off the fabric and is not being help up by black duck tape...It was a snowy day in chicago and and as I was trying to remove the snow when the window just fell out.

What can I do for repair? What kind of glue or methods can I use to put the window back in place? I do now want to put money into the rag top because the engine needs work. Thanks for the help!

Yep.. They'll do that.
Some people have had luck with sealants like window weld. I just don't see anything holding that heavy window on. Just prepare yourself for a very expensive top replacement bill.

I'm buying a new top with a plastic window in it today. I think that it will save some in weight and I'm going to add a rollcage so I don't want the chance of the top hitting that and breaking the top again.

heay duty OUTDOOR double sided tape will hold it. have a friend hold it in place(i used suction cups) then press the tape to the top. make sure it lined up and the window and top are clean in the area to be taped. it should hold till you can replace it. put the tape on the window first then put it in.

Yep, unless you broke a window on a recent top, I wouldn't think it would be worth just replacing the window.

Well the window is ok, its just that in Chicago, it is about 15F at night and tape does not want to stick or work at that tempurature. Im going to try some nice duckt tape and see how it works tonight (in the garage). Ill try to give some pictures if everything goes well

Thanks for all the help!

I had the same problem with my ls1 one time but it was only the bottom..... this is what I did..... I took off the back of the top completely and flipped it over on top of my car. Then I took polyurethane cement (black) and carefully cemented the window to the top on the edges. Then, I placed flat pieces all around the edges and on top of that I placed heavy objects ie cans or weights, and let it sit a day or so. Afterwards, I used a razor blade to cut the excess glue off from where it seeped out and put the top back in place. I did this several years ago and that window isn't coming out ever again. You will have to cut my top to get the window out now! You can't see it either because the cement is on the inside of the fabric. Let me know if this helps. I might can give you better details if you are confused. Just pm me if so. I wish I had pics, I am sure that would really help.
