Default Help with picking SFC

I'm in the market for a pair of weld in SFC for my 98 SS but I don't know which brand I should get. I'm stuck between BMR and UMI. Both look very similar but I noticed the UMI have a larger front tab that is curved where as the BMR unit is straight. They are pretty much the same price so what benefit does one have over the other if any. Any and all help is much appreciated.

Don't know a lot about the technical differences but I have welded in BMR SFCs on my 99 TA vert and have been very happy with them. I bought them mainly to help the car last longer by reducing flex that tends to loosen things. Good Luck! Tom

Thanks Tom. I have a feeling I can't go wrong with either one but I figured I'd reach out to the guys on the forum that have them and get there input. Anyone else have any experience with either the BMR or UMI?

Odds are there is no real performance difference between the two. We have been building them in this style for the verts for 5+ years and have been well liked. Just let me know if you have any questions I can help you with.

Default ? for BMR

Are the SFC's important for a bone stock but lowered 00 SS?

I don't plan to do much power wise with the car. It is my daily driver so I don't think I will do much to it, maybe a set of headers, intake, cam, etc. but I don't plan on going into the bottom end or heads.

I had a friend step on the tune and spark maps and shift points if that matters.

Thanks

I have the BMR, the powder coating is chipping off after one year... Otherwise they made the most diff of any suspension piece yet.

Love my BMRs no issues. And yes.. I'd recommend them for a stock vert as well. My rear panels were starting to dimple from stock power and I was planning to do bolt ons so they were one of the first mods I did.

Thanks for the interest in our product. If you have any questions regarding a item feel free to ask me and I am glad to help.

We also offer our convertible SFC's in a 100% bolt on set-up if desired. They can be bolted to the vehicle in a 1/2 hour or less and require no drilling, cutting or grinding. We also make a weld on set-up as well.

If I can please ask. Thank you!

Weld in subframe connectors are on of the most noticeable ride quality improvements you can make on a vert hands down. Even a stock car will benefit from them

I ended up with a pair from Don Goetz for my vert. - they are bolt ons in powder coat red. I don't think the bolt ons are as effective as the weld in type, but i could do them myself in less then an hour. They are very well built and fit in very nicely!
