Pin holes in top Just wondering if anyone had ever tried to repair small holes in a top. Mine had two very small pin holes (no idea how they got there). They haven't been an issue until the hard rains this week. Water must have got between the layers and was coming out on my visors and the pull down handle.
I thought about dabbing some clear silicone to seal them. They are so small, I could not get anything underneath them.

I've repaired small holes in vert tops using an iron-on fabric patch (available from any frabric store) on the inside. Kinda tricky to get an iron under there to heat the glue, but it works pretty good and gets a few more years out of the top.
If it were my top (which is black) I would be inclined to
use the 3M windshield adhesive (black polyurethane) and
a pin to apply it sparingly, through the hole and just
enough to ball up in it.
Silicone rarely sticks to anything well. Certainly you'd at
least want it to say "adhesive" somewhere on the label
but a real adhesive in the right color (maybe the 3M
marine (4200?) for white tops; tan, yer out of luck) is
the way to go I think.

You would need one that is labeled non-curing for a flexible one. Not sure what is out there for that, I know they have a lot more options now than just construction adhesive. They have sub-floor glue, bathroom/drywall glue- all in the same area and tubes look very similar. Good luck, wish I had more to offer you.
