Default Finally got top replaced *PICS*

Well I got my top installed. I had a little place in Austin do it. They charged $350. Not too bad considering some places I called wanted up to $1000. I haven't seen the car in person yet but my brother says it looks like a brand new car now and the pics look pretty good. No more bubble top on the highway.

Oh man I can't wait! I've been getting everything on her fixed over the past month or so and I still have to wait another month until she gets here. I just got the cam put in and my brother said it pulls hard!

I'll be doing a new top on my beater car this weekend...myself. Someone decided that they would attempt to steal my cheap 100$ stereo a few weeks ago.

Very nice looking top. Did you change the color, or did you keep it the same as factory? What brand was it?

It's always had a black top on it. The old one was just getting worn and ragged. I got it from Ebay so I don't know the brand. The guy that sells them says they are made from the same fabric as the factory ones. I'll have to find the name of the place that installed it and pm it to you ernie.

Yeah I don't get anything done over here. I made sure before I shipped it over here that everything I can't do myself is already taken care of. They charge an arm and a leg for everything and then factor in the exchange rate and you get royally screwed.

Almost worth a drive to Austin TX. Fun city if you want to get away for a few days.

Nice work! Hey if you guys need help installing your tops yourself you can ask me anything. I have done several of them, they are a pain in the *** but worth the finished product.

So I finally got the car here in Germany. The top looks great!!! My only gripe is above the top window where it has the piece of cloth that I guess would be considered trim. It is in two pieces and is sewn together with white thread!?!?! Why they used white thread on a black top I don't know. I'm not even sure if the top came like this or the place installing it did it but you wouldn't really notice it if it was black thread. I think I'm going to try and find some kind of dye to put on the thread. I'll get more pictures as soon as there's another bright sunny day. So don't hold your breath. hahaha
