But there tranny can't even handle stock boost

HA!! HA!! Okay all you geniuses! Go out and find a person with a R34 and race them!!! The R34 will walk. The R35 is still too new, as just mentioned, "their trannies might not hold up to the power". Don't know?!?! Oh the dyno was a mustang as well. These were in Oregon, don't know why the huge # difference. Could be the lot of cars?!?! The dyno is checked regularly.

It takes a little boy to sit there and call out b.s or talk ****. The funniest comment was about the drag cars!!! Dumb ***!!! Do you know why they only use rear wheel drive? Duh!! Don't be stupid and act like you know about cars because you finally went out and bought a Corvette!! We're not talking about drag cars, but your gay a$$ comment about 4 wheel vrs 2 wheel is as stupid as you can get! With heavy vehicles it is important to get as much rubber on the track you can (slicks and awd). With light cars like drag cars the weight is distributed over the rear slicks. Come on guys, we shouldn't have to get into this!!! For street cars awd has their advantages, don't make me bring up 10 second awd piece of ***** eclipses! HA!

I have had my fair share of classic Chevy cars and would love to have a new Corvette but I don't have the extra cash to throw at one this moment. My brother has two Corvettes, one new the other classic. Don't be dumb and chalk up the new competition to me being a "newbie"!!! WHat a cop out! Sometimes you won't be the biggest in the locker room showers, so what makes you think you will be the biggest in the parking lot?

Oh, newbie?? My hands have been under more hoods than yours I am sure!! Do you buy your performance or build it?

Congrats on the nice cars, I am currently restoring my 68 Chevelle S.S. It has a 396.

The most comical is the fact you can spend $100k on your car making it quick, but my $10k bike will still be faster! Oh, speaking of bikes and being 1 wheel drive, it has to do with weight, power and traction. Same thing with heavy cars..., weight, power and traction!

Sometimes the truth hurts and is hard to accept, Get over it!

What I meant by Newbie is your new to this sight with your second post. Let's see I am at C5 #8 and I had 2 C6's and a C4 and numerous F-bodys. Oh wait I also had a numerous other non american cars including 2 GSX Eclipse's and 300zx Twin Turbo the R34 distant older cousin. The parts are pricey and they are difficult to work on compared to a vette. Clearly a C5 or C6 is a much better buy.

$18,000 for a used Z06 less if you do a coupe of FRC
$5500.00 A&A blower kit on sale on the 29th for $4750.00
$250.00 Used 6.0 heads
$250.00 cam
$600.00 used headers
$600.00 some good sticky tires
$300.00 meth kit

Your at about $25,000 for a R35 stomping 600RWHP monster. Add about $1000.00 to some rearend upgrades

Those 10 second eclipses aren't on stock drivetrains. You can make anything fast there are plenty of 9-10 second RWD bugs out there.

With the R35 the magazines are all over the board with there times. The C6 Z06 times are consistent and they are using run flat tires. There is many documented cases with the C6 Z06 in the 124-125 mph range.

As far as the R35 is considered I look forward to the day I run one they will need at least 700RWHP to keep up considering the drivetrain loss and plumpness of the fugly car.

Marcusw,

I assume your overseas. Over here in the states there are very few legal authentic R34 GTR's. There are actually only a handful of legal authentic R33 GTR's as well. Many have seen the crusher from owners not paying the government piper and playing to their rules. If I want a kit R34 like that one company offers, well, sorry, still is a rebrand so it loses it legitimacy.

And who the hell cares if you buy your performance or build it yourself. And you think you can sit there and install **** on the Uber L337 Nissan GTR LM GT2 Road Spec V with ease? Go spend some time under one on a lift.

Yawn, go troll on some import forum that caters to neons and body kits.

rzuff, I agree with the "fugly" comment!!! R35's are UGLY especially when comparing to our Corvette!!! OK____ ? I have put my hands on a few R34's not too bad, but th R35.... NO!

If you understand licensing laws in Washington State, it's not like Oklahoma or other states. In BC Canada you can find many R34's, drive them south and because they closed state vehicle inspections, you can license them and gain a WA title. This, thanks to the new skyline hitting our markets, the legality of owning a R34 was made easier. From there they can get titles in different states.

All in all, Corvettes are great! You can't find a bigger market on parts. I love the ease of turning a wrench under it's hood.

Large displacement is nice too!!

"Yawn, go troll on some import forum that caters to neons and body kits."

OKcruise, Eat a big one! Quit stereotyping! I have seen Corvettes with neon lights, body kits and middle aged men wishing they looked younger considering the amount of money they spent on hair plugs behind the wheel! Don't forget RedNecks and MexiCans.

Which one are you OKcruiser?

Okay........

Just cuz I drive a Corvette time to time doesn't make me a big shot. Relax brother and quit the hating. We could go rounds and rounds. Just simply put, he got owned. I think it's kinda comical that we were so quick to "dis" spite the fact there are gonna be cars that surprise us from time to time.

Did I mention my buddy just got surprised by a turbo Honda? Ouch!! Goes to show, don't "dis" another man's ride it just might be the one that embarrasses you in the end.

Sorry to get rude, but dude...., save the sarcasm for someone who doesn't know what they're talking about.

Peace ya'll!!

^^All I have to say is.... 510awhp and it only traps 121 ? Pathetic. Oh and there has been more than one person to run 10's in stock C6Z's w/ drag radials. I really doubt we will ever see a stock R35 do that.

And to the OP, I think it will be a cake walk from any kind of a roll, but we are going to need a video of this if it ever happens.

wow you are a long winded one arent you? this is my take on things

1. there is no stock R35 on this planet making over 410-430awhp especially on a mustang dyno

2. your friends piece was probably slow to be surprised by a civic (though some civics are really fast)

3. do not compare other peoples cars and say "the R35 will walk"

4. R35's are barely in the high 10's at the moment with mods, last i checked there are some stock Z's from my area on DR's running 10.80's.

5. to date Rwd still holds the best 60ft record

if you have a R35 on the eastcoast willing to run me from a dig or a roll i welcome it with open arms, just make sure he/she brings some cash and a tow truck because i plan on taking he/she's money and sending it home broke on a tow truck after it uses it's shitty launch control.

You can title them all day long. Most use the Louisiana route.

However, it isn't the state government that will get you as they don't care, but the feds, which don't like people running around the letter of the law.

But the reason for the abrasion is that most (99%) of people that post in this subforum wouldn't even give two ***** for a gtr due to the constant trumpeting by every fanboy from every nook of nippon about many grey area claims.
