Default Its true traction is always the problem ask my input shaft

so the mustang vs gto shootout was yesterday at gainesville and the vette along with me made its first ever passes with the rst street twin and m/t drag radials. pass 1 attempted to slip the clutch and bog went 15.5, pass 2 3500 rpm launch did rather well hit something on the track about thr 1/8th and almost *** ended the wall but went 14.3. so 3rd pass i said hell 4500rpm lets go well my main shaft said no and snapped into 2. so i geuss my next upgarde is tranny rebuild.

mods to the car:

cam motion 234 240 .627 .641 112lsa
ported 853
SSAC headers and x pipe
zip tie mod
b&b bullets
hardend half shafts
mcleod rst street twin


p.s. bob i know youll read this so you missed out it was a graet day for racing.

Lol, yep sux had the same thing happen to my FRC. I replaced the shaft with a hardened Lingenfelter piece.

same **** happened to me. i ended up spring for the 4130 g-force shaft when i got my rebuild. a couple of weeks ago i cut some high 1.5 60's launching at 5600 and all was well.
