What does a borla stinger exhaust sound like with a Cam? I cant find a good video anywhere of what the bola stinger 4 tip sounds like on a c5 with a cam and no cats?
Is anyone out here lurking with this setup and can post a video? I currently have stock Titanium and im looking to make a change

It's loud... I've got Kooks w/ cats and stingers w/ a G5-X2 cam. I've had it that way for about 2 years now and am about to install some Z06 Ti mufflers w/ the A&A bypass mod done. I like to take road trips in the car and I'm tired of the drone. Bought the car at 22 when loud as fark was a good thing, now that I'm 27 I've come to prefer tone over loud.

The Reason is someone wants to trade me my z06 ti +100 for 4 tip stingers and from all my research its not going to be a benificial trade because itll be the same sound if not quieter.
The story is - I traded the borla straights to tone down a little, went with z06 ti's now the car is too tame, but louder than whats in your video! Im considering the bypass mod, But im also starting to consider just doing electric cutouts now
I ran into a white 01z06 with a 427 in thanksgiving traffic this weekend and all i could gather from screaming out the window was it was a 427 with electric cutouts and a stock TI exhaust. Sounded sick, and the best part is if you Must tone down its done with a flip of a switch
Anyone running a big cam with cutouts?

If you have no cats and straight pipes then... yes... it will be stupid loud. I'm running cats and Stingers. It's not the overall volume that's the issue. It's the resonance... I'm tired of it. No it's not really horrible resonance, but I'm to the point where I'd rather have tone than volume. From what I've heard the Ti w/ the by-pass will be the perfect setup for me.
Plus... that video was shot on a camera... not the best tool for the job.

i was staying not too far from the Hot Tuna bar/restaurant on Kendall st. haha are you on Corvette Forums too? i'd LOVE to do a Z06 conversion on my Coupe lol add the short back window, although i don't think it can be done easily
So the resonance is strong with the Stingers? i had Ti's on my Vette originally this spring but it was REALLY quiet. Sounded almost stock at idle, although WOT it was good sounding. I may be adding cats to lower the resonance down

Yeah... my GF was a bartender there for a few years. She's finishing up her masters so she finally quit and got a "real" job with a defense contractor. I got perma-banned on CF after 8 years and 20,000+ posts! They don't take kindly to boobie pics.
The drone isn't horrible, but I'm just to the point where I want a bit more refinement... hence the Tis w/ the bypas mod.

my buddy has the stingers with the G5X3....best sounding car I ever heard. No cats. Its sounds very ummm "Bumpity"....and its is NOT quiet by any means.

I would do cut outs with the zo6 ti . Borla gets old quick... sounds great idling but highway speeds are rough w/o cats. Plus it keeps jon law off you with stock exhaust.
